I knew ya got ~ ten years on me, just wanted to see if you'd take the bait. :D

That said I wonder if there is a seniority system here for comments/creds. :)

Insulted? Well, if you're as old as you feel I guess I can understand your delightful sense of humor and thick skin.

I might help to have owned or operated one for at least a few years. But if you have enough seniority one might not need experience just the wisdom of their years, and I'm sure most folks realize that. (Younger ones are called 'peanut gallery', right?)

btw, Didn't you get the best advice on raising kids or pets from someone who didn't have any?

Another insulting post....but it can certainly be said that you are consistent!
I think you totally missed the point.

How are folks who bought Cabella's tractors doing with their warrantied parts/repairs?
It should not be necessary to have "first hand experience" with a Cabela's tractor to understand that.
Are TYM dealers honoring Cabella's warranty?
Will TYM dealers honor the 8 year RK warranty?

I see RK as a big box store with a meaningful tractor support risk difference, (and resale %) when compared to JD, Kubota, New Holland etc.
I know......I am old....so if you must...... keep on hurling the insults, and explaining, that I just..... "don't get it"!

Not everybody needs warranty service within the allotted period, and how are folks doing with Craftsman tools?

One might have to decide between parts availability and the forever warranty you all but suggest will be there with ??? brand.

Ask the member who couldn't find a short block to replace in a ~5 year old Kubota that died from oil loss before the operator could shut it down.

I guess it's that clear view of the future you have that leaves the rest of us in the shadows w/o such insight.

The point I get from you is that if something can go wrong it will and others should share your experience if not you approach.

Oh, and find me a dash cluster for an '04 TC33DA, the warranty is up. Maybe NH was the wrong brand to buy.

btw, if you're also bigger than me and still on the line I might have to tighten my drag before you spit the hook. Cheers. jon

And then there's a friends aprox 10 yr old Kubota that puked the front ring and pinion and he never could get a ring and pinion for it, new or used, no longer available.

He finally took it hard in the shorts and sold it as a 2wd tractor...

Yep

or my nephew with his under 2 year old 85 hour John Deere 3025E

it's wonderful 10 year warranty

Tractor still shakes and shudders trying to even lift an empty bucket.

Over 2 weeks at the Deere dealership with trained parts changers

Still not fixed and the dealers advice- run it until it really breaks...

What I found before purchasing a TYM is you will pay $5-7k more for a well know brand and if you keep the money the same you will end up with a smaller, lower H.p., unit with less features. Granted, the resale will be higher on the name brand and probably a wash of the initial $5-7k.

The Ford vs. Chevy argument has been going on for over a century. You guys aren't going to solve the tractor argument either. Be thankful you can afford what you have and bring your nose down below eye level. Personally, I wouldn't buy a new tractor if it was $1,000. You can't fix or work on them. I can't go hauling my tractor to a dealer 30+ miles away every time it needs an oil change or sensor reset. Manufacturers are looking for ways to void your warranty for modifications and service faults. At least I know what I have and glad of it. I don't have to ask permission to work on my tractors.

I think there are less TYM dealers than there are RK stores. In NC the closest one is about 4 hours away. Seems like a lot more people are having issues with the RK tractors so I assume the same problems, except for the engines, are going to show up on the TYM tractors.

Not so, much a Ford and Chevy (very close competitors) argument as it is in Hyundai vs. Honda or Kubota vs. John Deere ( see my above post) where when these brands first entered the market and they were relatively unknown.
