What do you do with your Instant Pot you cant do with a crock pot?

This thread was started a year ago and had a lot of replies, but it's gone silent for many months. Are you guys still using these Instant Pots as much as when you first got them?

A little less, because I do the IP cooking and I have been busier that a one armed paper hanger at work and don’t get home in time.

My wife has got really good at making a venison roast using hers. She can make it in about 1/4 the time it takes me in a crock pot. I won't tell her this, but hers is probably more tender than mine. Right now, I still have her believing the differences must be in the age and *** of the deer, but she might be starting to wise to it and is starting to realize she has me beat.:laughing:

Once or twice a week consistently. Still very much a time and labor saver and also an energy saver.

You must be kidding...wait until lunch?.

The split peas finished softening about 11 PM when I went to bed.... so I turned it off and got back up around 2 AM when the pot cooled a bit and chowed down on a big bowl full :licking:

I then had it again for breakfast. It was a double batch so I still have some to freeze in pint containers. It was real good. :thumbsup:

And the #1 reason to use the Instant Pot is for uninterrupted sleep.

None of my Instant Pot soups tasted as good as that slow cooker soup. I like both units and use them about equally.

On soups, broths.... yes. On dried beans, roast chicken.... no.

I love having a large kitchen, I now have space for more kitchen tools. Before this house I did not have space for both.

Dehydrator and air fryer is next.

Most of the better air fryers include a dehydrator function.
