Good morning!!!!

I had a googleMeet video call with a bunch of my high school buddies Friday night.
We had a planned reunion this summer which got canceled. We are trying again for next summer.
I grew up on long island, NY. Wife is from lower makefiled, that's how we ended up here in PA.
Her dad's house on the river is still under construction since the new owners bought it. A late 1700/early 1800's stone house on River road.

I致e found Iron Out spray to best in our toilets and the powder for the tanks.

The iron/rust in the tank is mostly gone at this point ... but will keep that in mind for the future ...

What's going on in the bowl appears to be something different ... light grayish discoloration ... only at, and above, the water line ...

Sorry to hear about the loss of your implements ... I know how that feels ... :(

Ron,

Nice bird (and squirrel) pics (as always ... ;))

Sorry for the furnace difficulties ... will you be ok until Wednesday, when the HVAC guy can make it out ?

Snow tires have a softer rubber compound than all seasons/summer tires. The softer rubber is what makes them better in snow and ice.
Run snow tires in the hot summer and see how fast they wear out compared to all season/summer tires.

Couldn't agree more. Snow tires go on both of our vehicles in the Fall (usually in November) as soon as the temp gets reliably below about 36 degrees F, and then back off in April (typically early). And one of the reasons I chose Michelin X-Ice is the amazing tread wear ratings.

From what I've read, X Ice is top of the line, Blizzak perhaps even a little better in deeper snow, XIce likely handles better.
Hard to beat a Blizzak. It's all in the tiny siping. I thought the pattern in mine was interesting. Some very unusual shaped
tread elements and tiny siping all over. But if I were buying a winter tire, I'd get a true snow tire and there are half a dozen brands that
make good ones. If Mother Nature is going to throw a foot of snow at me, usually I can avoid driving in it.
But sometimes you want to get out there and get some fresh air in your face. Which you certainly will to some degree if clearing
snow from your driveway.

I had Blizzaks all round on an Outback. It was simply unstoppable.

1.28” of rain since 7, no sign of stopping, about 44°.

Doctor said other than the kidney issue all my blood work was fine. Both doctors think I’m too dry and I’m cutting one med and drinking more water, retest in about a week.

Fired up wood stove that had gas logs in it. I am warm. But will cost a few extra buck for gas.

34F and cloudy @ 22:30, headed down to a low of 32F.

Now treating old toilet bowl with CLR/water mix - looks like it is having some effect ... ... but pretty slow going ... :(

Worked on shower pan curb ... which was painful. Looks like the tile guys from the old country used thinset or white grout where the walls met the curb ... lots of scraping and sanding to remove it. Still have a ways to go. Need to pick up a tube of Lexel from Ace tomorrow.

Got tile saw mostly assembled, still need to square the blade to the table and move the whole thing downstairs. With the legs on the stand fully extended it's not as low as I thought it would be. I would prefer it a little higher though ... but it should be workable at the height it's at now ... at least for time being.

Pulled canister filter on the aquarium in the living room and got that all cleaned out.

Ran down to the local pizza joint and grabbed some hot wings and garlic rolls for dinner. Don't usually get the hot wings - usually go with the Garlic Parmesan - the hot wings were might tasty this time around though.

Still working tracking down electrical issue mystery ... :confused2:

Hope everyone had a great day.
