I think they were strutting for some nearby hens...

Not sure what this is. I haven't seen one like it before. It is quite large and flaps its' wings quicker than other butterflies. Very pretty. Also very hard to photograph.

It's in the 40's here. Shaping up to be yet another mild winter. If I'm lucky I'll be able to go ice fishing for maybe 2-3 weeks at the end of January. I used to go over Christmas break as a kid. Winters are about a month shorter now.
