Regarding kids these days.

They are rude, uncontrollably, uneducated, spoiled brats, lazy and basically worthless.

Julius Ceaser said that.

Some things don't change.
Actually, some kids do grow up and change but as can be seen by many posts here every day, some never grow up nor change.
Names withheld to protect,,,,,,,,,,,us from their tantrums over being called out.

Our church does food baskets for needy families. My wife and I usually gather the supplies and box them up.
My chickens live in better quarters than some of these people do. Unfortunately in a lot of the cases its drug use that is the problem. You have to be careful what you give or it will be sold for a fix.
We gave out for Thanksgiving and are getting ready to deliver the Christmas ones.

On the giving of tips. I went with a friend to get some steel and I bought lunch because he drove. He was going to get the tip but only had 20s. When the waitress came by he asked her if she could break it for him.
I told him if she was smart she would bring him back two 10s. She didnt but he gave her 10 anyway.

It is great to honor your friend by giving large tip to someone working in low paying position. I work in poor section of Cincinnati it is amazing how much is donated to the homeless and is then thrown away or immediately sold.
For most of the homeless I meet, I wonder how much did they screw over people in their life that nobody will help them.

I am giving platelets. Huge need for cancer patients and donations drop during holidays. Although platelets can be obtained from whole blood for cancer they prefer straight donations as there is slight risk of complications from each different donor

That's a great idea! And it doesn't even cost any money to do.

As I tend to travel quite a bit, I do hit my fair share of Waffle Houses in the early morning. If you want to see a woman cry, leave a 20 dollar bill for a waffle and a dollars worth of coffee.... Any person working those hours to take care of me, deserves a good tip.

During COVID I have been leaving nice tips on takeout at a local mom and pop restaurant. Normally I don’t consider a tip for takeout, but it seems they could use a little extra. I would hate to see them close.

I've been doing the same. I used to go up for breakfast on Sundays a lot, and leave the same tip now. In my case it goes to the help, who are suffering from shortened hours because it's takeout only.
