My wife and I were out clearing off the deck Thursday afternoon when we heard this flock going over. This was group 1 of 3 and was the smallest. They were also the lowest so made a better picture. The last time we saw this many snow geese was the very snowy (for us) winter of 2009-10.

Nice! I think I've seen more Egyptian geese here VS snow geese, they are that rare.

My wife's grandfather said he used to hunt snow geese in Michigan back in the 30's.

We have a flower that is like that. The wife calls it a moon flower. Blooms at night and withers back when the sun comes up.

Unfortunately the coyote population is on the rise here also. They adapt quite well to all the building that's going on in this area. All we see nowadays is the occasional red fox which is too bad they do a great job at rodent control.

NH F&G never should have taken the bounty off coyotes.

No it comes up as a bush every spring and dies back to the ground in the winter.
You can go out after the sun goes down and watch the blooms open.
Its called a Moon Flower around here.

We had those here also. This night blooming flower was much different, yellow with smaller flowers, I'm guessing 2.5" across.
