Nice Fox picture, we have at least three red foxs here, but they are hard to photo since they are very shy.

I wish we still had fox instead of all coyote

Unfortunately the coyote population is on the rise here also. They adapt quite well to all the building that's going on in this area. All we see nowadays is the occasional red fox which is too bad they do a great job at rodent control.

Yep, that's cute and great for mice/moles and other varmints. We certainly have less here with the fox population slowly growing.
Don't coyotes go after little critters too?
How do you keep them from coming in too close?

They do but the coyotes seem to take larger game rabbits/skunks/groundhogs etc. The fox seem to be more proficient at taking the mice/moles/chipmunks/neighbors chickens etc. We don't try to keep them out they are more than welcome to eat as much as they want.

Thanks. I always liked and have islands around yard with about six bushes and trees each, plus flower bulbs. So there's almost always something in bloom. We put pine needles down but all those leaves are from a nearby maple, yellow leaves.
Growing up grandparents next door my grandmother was really into flowers, trees, etc. One flower I wish I knew what was she planted would bloom at night! It was from memory a fairly large bush maybe 5ft tall, yellow flowers I'm thinking 5 petals maybe 2.5" across. They traveled a lot and planted lots of unique things.

We have a flower that is like that. The wife calls it a moon flower. Blooms at night and withers back when the sun comes up.
