Good morning all, 33 going up to 39 and ......Grey out.
Spent some time modding the plow blade, removing the sides and it now fits along with the tractor in the garage.
Ran some errands, chipped some snow, nothing exciting.

We have been at a friends house every Xmas eve since before the wife and I were married, not this year. first year we will miss.
Bought a 6lb duck to cook for Christmas , I remember as a kid when I could drive out east on Long Island to duck country. Ordered duck in France way back when was from LI.
All that land got too valuable and is now houses, and duck come from other places. Have not found a source that has the same quality of duck.
Wife wants this one with a raspberry glaze, should work well.

Rains are coming in a few days, ground is frozen, should make for quite a few floods.

Stay safe and be well. Welcome new GM members. Miss some people who have been gone for a while-hope Jay and wife are ok.

40’s and foggy today so far, slight chance of snow showers early Christmas Day, no accumulation for sure, and quite cold.
Our earliest sunset was back on the 9th, and the next 4 days are the same length.

There is no shorter day, they’re all 24 hours long! LOL

I hope it clears enough to see the convergence tonight and the trees don’t block it.
Got up this morning to discover my Ram has a flat tire, I haven’t driven it since last Monday. I can’t really handle those 20” wheels anymore since my bout with sepsis a year and half back, just never got my strength back to normal. Of course I had to learn to walk again, too.
I have coverage on my insurance for flats, so I might just give them a call.

Eric, I’ve been hear about the mutant strain of COVID 19 in Britain for 2-3 days, glad to hear the vaccine still works on it.

Ron, you sure shoot some nice photos.

Looks like the stepdaughter and her girlfriend, long story, are coming Christmas Day, stepson’s girlfriend was exposed to the virus, so they are quarantined. Son, and daughter and families are coming New Years weekend.

Off to tend to the truck tire drama, have a good day.

Good morning to all! Low of 20, up to near 50 today. Tomorrow calls for wind and high temps of 35.... no precipitation. Thursday morning will have lows in the single digits.....

I have always been tempted to get a turkey fryer, but never did..... sounds like too much work! Did some in the smoker, which were good, but everyone prefers the standard oven roast.....

Drew, nice generator cover. Does it have straps to secure it to the genny? Congrats on completion of the feeders / birdhouses.... that was a good amount

Popgadget, nice speaker enclosure.... top notch!

Rick, do you take a turkey over to John and the crew? I am sure they would enjoy it....

Roy, glad the tractor situation worked itself out... that must have been a gut wrenching episode when it wouldn't start....

A productive weekend in the shop.... made two enclosed stands / cabinets for the planer and the router table. Nothing fancy, just made out of particle board. Still have to put on the doors, but that will be easy. I also decided get my old stationary table saw out of storage.... I haven't used it in 25 years, had it since 1983. It is a big cast iron table, 5hp 220v motor. It will need some restoration, the cast iron has a nice coating of rust on it, the belt basically disintegrated. I was pleasantly surprised that all the bolts and pieces were still there..... It will be nice to have it up and running again!

Now I will have to rearrange the shop tool locations again to make room for it! Hopefully I won't have to run any new electric lines....

Everyone have a great day!

Me too...it was very cold Saturday Morning and I figured it was just a weak battery...but, as I'd written, probably a bit of ice in the starter

Thomas kittens would have a lot of work to get any of that from me!
Don my wife is tire two, I got bumped to 3 like you.
Don lots of recycle options for frying oil, depends where you are.

stay safe and health you all.
Msple glaze came out good. It's 3/4 cup maple syrup, a little worchestershire sauce, mustard powder, ketchup, salt, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Tastes similar to a sweet and sour sauce.

35F, wet, and cloudy @ 12:30, headed up to a high of 39F.

The Woman is making chicken soup for a nearby neighbor/friend who has been sick for about 10 days ... possibly COVID, but not known for certain at this point, since they haven't been tested.

Nothing in particular on agenda for today ... probably do some online research, filing of paperwork, that type of thing, cleaning, and a little more work down in the fish room. Refill some feeders as well. Possibly some work on bathroom renovation ... but will hold off on replacing supply valves until Woman is back at work tomorrow.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

RS - Make sure your wife stays safe and we could use a fish tank picture to lighten the day up.

Grocery shopping was canceled today because we could not find a parking place in two of the nearby grocery stores. Today the crowds were similar to the first pandemic week panic buying. With that many people the social distancing cannot be obtained. Will try again tomorrow morning. Hope they don't start lining people up outside.

Back blade all adjusted and real aggressive now. I am still thinking that because I don't have down pressure on the three point that maybe I should hang a chunk of railway track on it, that'll make her cut. Scraped the parking area and the driveway again.

We are fortunate that we have several nearby grocery stores that offer curbside pick-up. Pick-up times have stretched out from next day to second day in the last month. We can get delivery but curb side seems to work pretty well. Being Christmas week could be a factor.

Don, try getting there when they open, 7am if normal. Some actually pay attention to senior hour.

Congrats on completion of the feeders / birdhouses.... that was a good amount
thanks. Never too many birdhouses...
And to think that 7 months ago my brother told me I wouldn't have been able to count to 18.
Those first three weeks were apparently more interesting than I understood. Really needed to make sure I could still
do the things I have always enjoyed. Happily I can. And maybe, maybe, maybe in the future a place with some land and a small tractor.
A wealthy woman would help. :D:dance1:

I need to make a trip to CVS but it can wait until tomorrow morning.

Ha, in a retirement town senior hours are more crowded. Because of that, the two closest grocery stores have discontinued senior hours. After the first time I tried senior hours in the spring in the next town their were lines out the door and to think I woke up early for that is not acceptable. Maybe an hour before they close when the "seniors" are asleep.

One store does have curbside but I like to choose substitutions.

Drew - all glad you are back and able to do want you want to. Makes the holiday more special.

Drew, help us narrow the field.

A wealthy OLDER woman that will eventually leave you to play comfortably?

Or
A wealthy YOUNGER woman who can comfortably nurse you through your dotage?
