My father had a friend who sent him a Harrah's Reno Casino calendar every year back in the 50's. My mother wondered why I could never remember what day it was and had to look at the calendar daily.

I will add our local Ford dealership who is Copper County ford here in Houghton MI. Would that count? We got a Ranger from them back in 19 and we'd never been in there doors before then. With it, we got the extended service/warranty plan mucky, muck. Wasn't my idea but the spouse wanted it. Ford corporation claimed innumerable miles between oil changes and dash computer would tell you when you need it. I went in for for my 1st and the "change oil" light wasn't on yet and expected grief from them. The service manger said "we'll change the oil, that light doesn't come on soon enough". We've had many oil changes since and still haven't seen that silly light come on. The week I tore a wiper blade and stopped in there get them replaced. I walked in without an appointment and asked "can I get my blades changed?? I just tore one" and they said "they are not covered under warranty". My response was " they are covered under the extended service/warranty plan". They said "oh ya" and went out and replaced them and never took the trucks VIN number or even my name down! No problem, it was fixed. No, these guys don't know us by sight. I'd call that good service..... :thumbsup:

Actually, I find that a lot more small businesses that sell on eBay are way more dependable then local stores I used to purchase from. Many will do anything to keep you from giving them bad feedback so that they keep their high ratings. Back in the day, there was nothing you could do to a store that gave you bad service except mention it to your friends.

HYUNDAI, we have three and any problems are resolved very quickly, toyota not far behind, Nissan, never will i ever buy one again the way they try to dodge warranty problems.

Yes, Hyundai. We've had 10 so far.
What sold me was my first Accent (94 I believe) had an intermittent squeak under hood, engine idling. Of course never happened at dealers shop. One night I pulled in garage, it started squeaking. I put one drop motor oil end of long screwdriver. Soon as I touched it to power steering front bearing it quit!
I called dealer...they couldn't replace pump unless THEY heard it.
So I called Hyundai. They said how about we send you a pump and a check? Check they said was what they would have paid dealer!
100k/10 year warranty. We've never kept one that long...but great cars for the money.

I've also had excellent success with Hyundai. When they started the 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty I felt that they had to be good or would go bankrupt quick with that warranty. I had a 2009 Sonata until the 2013 model Genesis Coupes came out. Never a problem with my Sonata. The battery went dead on my 2013 Genesis GT Coupe in 2020 and I bought a new battery. No other problems except keeping the gas tank filled and slowing down around radar.
