What teams will play in the next Superbowl?

Note last year's NFC game was the Packers versus the 49'ers... (two teams that supposedly have high national fan bases)

Superbowl games and Championship games always have more viewers than wild card and playoff games because there are less games to watch those weeks, only 1 or 2 instead of 4 or 6. Besides, the Saints were not playing that week to draw the viewers away. And this year more people are staying at home and watching football because they can't go to the games or do much else because of Covid.

Oh and one more thing about "bragging rights"...By getting to the Super Bowl...this will be the third time this (2020)season/year that a Tampa Bay professional sports franchise has made it to the final championship game/series etc...The Lightning WON the Stanley Cup, the Rays made it to the 7th game of the World Series and now the Bucs are in the Super Bowl....how many other sports markets have ever done that in the same year ?...COVID or not all played by the same rules...!

Nobody has said that Tampa doesn't deserve bragging rights this year with all of their incredible wins. They have a right to brag this year. Unfortunately, New Orleans can't compete with them in those sports because the Tampa area has over 3 million people and the New Orleans area has less than 1 million people and can't support many sports franchises and has no baseball teams, hockey teams, soccer teams, arena football teams or volleyball teams. This is probably why they support the Saints so enthusiastically. The Superdome is always sold out so I can't even remember when the last game was blocked out on TV due to game tickets left to sell.

Perhaps if the New Orleans area had a few million more people like NY, Dallas, LA, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc. etc. etc. they would sell more jerseys too. I bet they sell more beads than the other teams do. :laughing::laughing:

Just because the Saints are my favorite team does not mean I don't respect many other teams this year. Even the Browns deserve a lot of respect for their wins this year. :thumbsup:

What many don't realize about the Tampa Bay area market is...a large majority of sports fan loyalty remains with the teams where a majority of the residents moved from...no other area has more fair weather/bandwagon fans than Tampa Bay...
Often when the Rays play the Yankees or the Red Sox there will be as many (residents) cheering for the visiting team as there is the Rays...somewhat the same with the Lightning (Hockey)...and it used to be that way with the Bucs...in the early years they would sell out half the stadium to Green Bay fans...heck the Bears used to bring their cheerleaders to the games in Tampa every year when they were in the same division...!

Before the Marlins and later the Rays most of the native baseball fans were huge Brave fans...there is still a big faction of Dolphin fans in Tampa Bay...

BTW...About getting recognized for wearing a team's logo etc...around here (North GA) all I get when I wear a Bucs T-shirt etc. is dirty looks or the finger...LoL...but I do support the Falcons when there is no conflict and I do have a Falcon's hat...

No I'm a dyed in the wool Bucs fan...I was born and raised in Pinellas County..( a very small portion of the local population there my age are natives)...I did a lot of contract work for the franchise the first few years of their existence...mostly on the Westshore complex...had breakfast with Steve Spurrier and or John McKay several times... also played some golf...Mckay bought a house in Palma Ceia and I did some contract work there also...

The only times I am really a Falcon's fan is when there is no conflict and or divisional games depending on team records...My nephew is a diehard Falcon's fan and for several years worked for the franchise as a photographer ( the lucky dog shot several of their cheerleader calendars)...we often engage in trash talking when the two teams meet...But FWIW he often say's his favorite team is the Falcons or whoever is playing the Saints....! when there is no conflict he pulls for the Bucs (for good family relations)...
