Might help you fellows do little Re-Think.
You know all dem folks ask fer money so dey can buy votes to get job where dey steal wid both hands. Some of dem howl bout inflation and how dey gonna stop it.
Den dey get job and learn Inflation GOOD for government. Higher wages = MORE tax $$$. Higher price = more tax $$$. Guess how dat work for you and me? We get smoke blown up low opening.
Dey got some real cute words too, like "Quantitative easing" , sounds good, but what do it mean? Real simple, you got 10 bucks in bank before O**** eased in December 13 your ten worth 6 day after. Dey swiped 4 bucks your money real easy. Price of everything jumped up easy too and dey get MORE taxes.
Dese guys runnin show make cops at Mardi Gras look like Pentecostal Preachers.

It has always been a good business, I grew up in a scrap yard in the 60's. 150 acres of stuff and I knew where everything was.
Yes, it's already good business. The primary ingredient in "new" steel manufacturing is recycled steel, and it has been for decades. There are few facilities that still make steel from iron ore.
If the politicians are really trying to increase inflation, they are not doing a very good job.

I’m not sure politicians really care about getting more taxes. Seems government spending and taxes collected bear no correlation to each other anymore. The government spends whatever it wants.

Yep, what I was trying to say (I should have said it better) is that when the cash for clunkers program gets restarted, along with all the other programs being restarted from the Obama era, there will be an even greater need for auto recycling.
Since they change how they measure inflation every few years, these charts are not useful anymore :-(If the politicians are really trying to increase inflation, they are not doing a very good job.
