And though you can not see it there is a lip under forks that captures front edge of FEL to keep forks locked into position...

Next step is brush guard to protect front of tractor....

I'm going to space the forks out as wide as possible on my FEL pallet forks.. Then build a sort of dental bridge of teeth to slip on the pallet forks and secure to the back frame..

Can't justify the price of a grapple and extra hydraulic expense for the use..

That is a good idea.. Doesn't need to be fancy to be useful..

My DIY'd forks are clamp on style about 40 ins apart made from 3 inch channel.
Clamping action is 5/8" bolts finished with a 'T' for tight clamping.
I slightly tapered the clamp screw ends to create a tighter grip.

When loading branches I always stack the longest on bottom first.
I did make a dedicated pallet for other purposes but rarely use it.

All made from scraps that I've collected over time, so free other than my 'fun DIY time'.
