Good morning!!!!

Same here Bird, I was looking for some baby tomato plants last weekend, then I heard about this weekend, and that cancelled those plans.

Hope y'all didn't make too big of a mess inside. :)

I just tested positive. Talking with the Physician's assistant, I've probably had it for a few days now. I feel fine. Oxygen at 97% (which is normal for me). Aside from a bit of congestion, I feel great. PA said I might just have cold like symptoms, as I seemed to be healthy. I have been taking Vitamin D3 and Senior vitamins for almost 2 weeks now. Glad I got the firewood chopped on Wednesday. My work has allotted me some extra Covid sick time, but the weather is too crappy to go do something productive outside for the next week.

I'm thankful I don't have an icy driveway with an incline. I am hoping our pond will freeze over, to kill the floating duckweed.

Someone said 30F is nothing. Maybe so, but when it's windy, and sleeting, feels like 25F I'll let them come hang outside and take out the garbage. Haha.

Eric, hope it's a female. They make much better long term mousers. That's why I invested in our "Waffles" orange and white kitty. She likes our barn.

Wifey is making Taco/Nachos today. We had homemade hamburgers yesterday.

All the best Kyle, and enjoy the Mexican food.

Don, other than the sudden slip and slide with keister landing?

TXDon, when you are driving along the road and the mist off the tires in front of you seems to disappear, look for a dull shine on the pavement. That will be black ice. Just take your foot off the throttle and let it slow down gradually. Don't try to turn or stop, cause it ain't gonna happen.

I love old muscle cars, and have had the fun of riding in many of them. But, I can't see paying what some do.....unless you have too much money, and you want to be able to ride around and enjoy your investment.

I would take the same $100K and buy a new vette, when they come out with the supercharged edition.

I only had one or two at a time, and since some were sold to buy others, I’ve never been near $100k investment at one time. I’m not JD Rockefeller. LOL

14 year old Gray2 says he's a better mouser than any girl.

29˚F. the Ice just won't melt. My truck got hit by flying ice from an "outside" car going down the road. I was going in the opposite direction when the sheet of ice flew off his roof, over 3 lanes and hit the hood and grill of my pickup.
No damage but you Northern guys did not warn me of flying ice and frozen mailboxes. Any non-obvious other hazards to watch out for?

Don’t get behind busses, vans tractor trailers and such.

"Three on the tree"!
That goes back a few years. I learned to drive a stick on an early '50's International pickup with a 4 speed...on the "tree", IIRC.
The only other 4 speeds on the column I've driven (and owned) was a SAAB model 96 with a 3 cylinder 2-stroke engine. Bought it off a Coast Guard Bo'suns Mate when I was in the Navy. Car was painted international orange and looked like a pumpkin with 4 wheels
I've always preferred manual transmissions, but on the floor, not the column. Tough to find 'em now though. My Tacoma has a 6 speed that can be automatic or manually shifted. I tend to use the manual shift when we get snow or ice.
Of course, I'm a tractor guy who's had 5 tractors and the first hydro transmission came home about three months ago...it's nice, but I'd still prefer a reverser transmission

We're looking at a total of 17-18 inches of snow next week...

daugen, look at the money you would save if you never got your haircut again.:D

That's my plan. My normal barber is one that goes around with his nose sticking out above his mask, and thumbing it at the health regulations. Why would I keep shooting the dice just to get a haircut when I can just let it grow for free?

You couldn't beat those old slant 6 engines. Brother had a 62 Plymouth with the slant 6 and 3spd on the column.

I had an 84 Dodge van slant six with manual 4 speed overdrive floor shift.
It was a back up second shop van for use when the big GMC was otherwise occupied. That thing would slow down in O/D if you had a 20 mph headwind, in order to maintain 55 you had to shift down to high gear.
