How’s Eddie?

Re: How痴 Eddie?

Had the second Moderna yesterday... not feeling too spry last night and today... the info says to be expected.

Among medical professionals there are those holding off... mostly staff and not Docs... most of the Docs here got Pfizer with the 3 week turn around and were done a month ago...

Does seem to vary greatly among those getting vaccinated.

Glad to hear of those on the mend...

Still a huge backlog in my county across the full spectrum...

Re: How痴 Eddie?

I got my first Moderno shot 10 days ago and it hurt less than the yearly flu shots and the pneumonia shots and absolutely no kind of reaction at all.:)

I had the same favorable result with shot #1
Reportedly #2 may be somewhat different.
Two more weeks to go for me.

Got my first Pfizer yesterday. Arm is still sore, not like a flu shot which the dull ache goes away quicker. Wife got me in early (I’m 59) because they didn’t use them all and the leftover would be discarded soon. We believe we both got Covid last February but no one really knew how to deal with it yet. Luckily our symptoms were mild and short-lived.

We are seeing only 30% of eligible getting it here. A large amount of nurses (and my hygienist) say they don’t trust it yet.

The best part about the shot was I texted my son, “I’ve been shot in the arm. I’m at the hospital now.” Then I waited a good five minutes before I added, “A vaccine shot, of course.”

Got my second shot on Wednesday. Pfizer. Arm was very sore for 2 days. Pretty much did not feel like doing anything on Thursday. Back to almost normal on Friday. Saturday I had no effects from shot. Frist shot was sore arm and mild head ache on second day. Nothing after that.
SouthernSky, I have done that kind of stuff with my sons so many times they just say Oh OK. :confused2:

Are we coming to the intersection of mass vaccination and herd immunity?

As of today, only slightly over 10% of the population has received vaccinations according to the CDC.

Its been 48 hours and much better now...

The best I could describe is like coming down with a cold...

Everyone is different but Hospital rules require employees to be off two days following the injection.

Right now they have stopped making appointments due to shortage... some medical groups have 30% of the population segment but receive an allocation of 10% of what is available...

It is complex but the algorithm puts more weight on under-served right now.

I would say the second was easier than the first... the first people were coming up to me and saying I looked sick... hives, flushed face, aches, shortness of breath... etc.

Second time aches and headache and fatigue...
