37 here in SC. Another full day of rain. Went to Ag Supply yesterday and picked up some items for my tractors as well as a hydraulic cylinder that I hope I can use to fab my deck latch on the 20' Frontier FM so that I can operate it from the cab.

Everyone here is sick of the rain. Looks like we may have to deal with it for at least another couple of weeks.

Y'all have a good day.

Ron, I gave my wife a decent new sewing machine she loved and a serger she never used. Always wanted to learn
that skill, like Toppop has. We build and fix things in many different materials, sawing, welding, stitching...
I've paid for new canvas on three boats and that sure gave me an appreciation for someone's neat stitches.
Like a nice welding bead...

So I wonder Ron if you will have a use for the machinery or will that go to grandchildren?
I gave mine away, made two ladies very, very happy.
Including a home made walnut bobbin/thread holder I made.
We might want a new Dewalt or Makita but the missus
wants a new electronic sewing machine with 16 different stitches.

Good morning! 19 now, supposed to get to 27 later. Winter storm warning starts tonight, 5 - 8 inches of snow by Tuesday. The frigid weather has largely been removed from the forecast. Worst will be one night of single digit cold, but above freezing by the weekend during the day.

Did some work making a template for a brake caliper bracket for the Bultaco race bike I am slowly rebuilding. Now have a template, gonna make the first bracket out of a piece of 1/4 luan before cutting aluminum.

Moved some firewood too.

Not sure what today will bring. Might brew some beer when I get back from the grocery run.

Everyone stay safe out there

Drew, good to have TBN friends.

sure is. I started here on a laptop ten years ago sitting in hospital recliners while my wife spent 200 days
in the hospital in last two years, after a dozen operations. Every day seemed to be a life or death event for me,
would she make it til the morning. And my wife was tough and she made it a long time.
And while she slept I became a newbie here. And dreamed of having a farm with orchards.
Which one day I would have.

It's been a full ten years for me. Hope to get another ten.
In my faith we call each other Friends. Can never get enough friends.
Thankful for my TBN friends. Never done this before, am on no other social media.

time to go feed the birds. They are hopping around an empty bench top, looking for seed those
big fat deer took during the night. Same deer that pee and poop on my driveway.

Good morning all

22 now high around 30 cloudy with flurries and light winds today.

Did the usual Saturday dump run and picked up some adult beverages.
Managed to get the rest of my tax documents together and filed, used TurboTax.

Valentines dinner will be steaks, fresh bread, asparagus and mushrooms. (not the funny kind although that might make valentines more interesting)

Thoughts are with all who are dealing with the unusual nasty weather across the country, stay safe.

My wife has an old wood singer sewing machine with the petal you push.

She has an electric one too, But she has no book for it and doesn’t know how it works. Sewing is not her thing.

When I was active in scouts, I picked up my own singer electric sewing machine, because she was always asking people to sew things. So I learned to sew.

Mine’s the one we use now. My wife still has to ask me to thread it.

I kept one sewing machine out of the 3 wife had. Sold serger and sewing table. Son took the other sewing machine. I have enough variations of thread to match just about any color or material. I learned a lot about sewing from my mother. Had a commercial walking foot sewing machine while I had boats. Made my own tops and covers for fishing equipment. Sold it to neighbor. I can use it if I need to do something. The Pfaff machine I kept has over 30 stitches. So I will be doing some sewing as needed. Most of the stuff I cleaned out of sewing room was stuff wife had planned to make things out of.
My next thing to tackle is her collection of purses.
