I keep at least a dozen gallons of water on hand for flushing, etc, several cases of drinking water, and now I keep a couple cases of TP in stock. What I’m short on now is gas for the generator. But we aren’t supposed to get that cold.
I do have an old wood stove, and I have some firewood. I don’t have a chimney, but in an emergency I do have some stove pipe and I could probably rig something thru the basement window. I need to put up a chimney so I’m ready for an emergency.
I also have saws, fuel and trees.
New Polaris has tons of power and gets around fine in the snow and ice. Just a bit breezy .. w/o a windshield.

Oops! My Bad!
I'm not allowed to post about Power or Ice or Snow .. or Wind.
Some houses 'boom' when the temp gets really low. The house I grew up in did. The house we live in now does. Sounds like something falling on the roof...
BOOM!
Nice looking Polaris, I don't think I've put 5 miles on my side by side since before Thanksgiving and it has a windshield,
but that cold air just whips right around. Truck or tractor for me, getting soft in my later years :dance1:
Yes that is exactly what I thought. It was so cold that I thought a big bird died in flight and crashed onto the roof.
Good.
