Integrity is a difficult subject. But just being cognizant of the concept puts one in a good place if you ask me.

I born wet, cold & hungry, hope to go out different, but might not. Been dyin since day I was born, no other way off planet. Eternal file drawer & funeral all paid for. Bills are all paid. I can off top of my head think of 40 ladies & men now gone, close my eyes and see most. Some I went to funerals and told jokes and stories. Headed for MIL's funeral 10 years back get lit up on de superslab, pull over, Deputy steps up I say mornin son. He wants me he got me 20 over fair & square. He asks where I'm goin, Williamsport, gotta be at funeral in morning. He says they on DWI harvest bein St Pats day. OK you got one handy I be happy to put my gimp stick to him for ya. Drunk driver how I came to use stick.. He stops laughin and tells me to keep it slow down to rest stop where Troopers runnin radar. Asks by de way, who funeral for? Mother in Law, might meet Chinese Ambassador verifyin dey can stop payin her royalties on toretures. He says he figured, I seemed happy.

Stepped in to funeral 30 years back of good man and mentor, family all standin handshakin. Stepped to coffin Big Ed layin der in white suit. Knew Ed 20 years, never saw him in suit, kinda shocking. Went back talkin wid family, said pretty sure Ed got chow figured out upstairs, and where best rootbeer floats are. Everybody crackin up. Plenty good memorys and storys. Ed didn't need cryin, he needed his family to keep movin ahead.

Figure de people who matter to me I take to dinner now so dey ain't gotta eat memorial meal cryin in de soup. Might be last time some of us together breathing. Pretty sure I lived every day of my life cept for a few in hospitals, remember who came by to visit when I was in. Most people I know everybody knows each other dogs and cats names cause dey family too and greet appropriately. When dey roll me to drawer Stars & Bars be on top of box, and be some fine dogs walkin along wid me. Be more waitin at de bridge. Fiddler be playin. What anybody say about me of no matter, I tell something it truth best I know. If I wrong 1000 angels singin bout purity of my intention make no difference.

Long & short, everybody walk life path alone, nobody but you inside head. Way too much social pressure to make somebody happy, don't none change you bein alone. Anybody lamenting how dey miss me when I gone should have spent more time wid me while I breathin.

I think this is true.

But, for you, I can’t help thinking your sisters make your path happier.

Hmmm. When I was a kid, the refrain that was chanted, as you skipped down the sidewalk in the cardboard shoes your Mom bought you with her ration stamps was "Step on a crack...break ******'s back...Step on a crack...break ******'s back...".

Oh, and I might add, you stepped on every crack at least once, sometimes twice.

I never did understand going to someones funeral that you never bothered to see while alive. I will remember them in my own way if I so choose. I don't need yet another ritual set out by others in my life. I especially don't understand people flying overseas for that.

Can you imagine the eternal torture of having to wear a suit, if you weren't a suit wearer? Like, what did the poor guy ever do to you?

Scares the crap out of me, how many people I have known that are now gone.

I don't like funerals; but some are obligatory. I never remember them any way, same with weddings.

Half of weddings end in DIVORCE anyway. At least the funerals are truly "FOREVER".
