Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #128,121
Good evening all. 17F for the start, overcast, light breeze. Light wind day, some peaks of sunshine, and high temp was 24F. Friday will be above freezing for first time in a long while. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week look near normal.Cleaned up ashes and stokes insert. Finished cleaning out fridge, set garage up as temp fridge, room in garage freezer for the frozen stuff. Was able to remove old defrost board, one lead looked funny, another lead looked fried. was able to order new board and get overnight service but no tracking yet. Water came back late morning, most air out of pipes by early afternoon so turned water heater back on. No power outages today, stepdaughter house was still doing rolling blackout:eek:. Napped and conserved energy for rest of day.

   / Good morning!!!! #128,126
woke up and surprised no snow yet, but looked at radar and looks like it will be going over Popgadgets, Ken's and my home in less than an hour.
Actually it's here now, flurries just started.
5-8 inches today, several tonight, several tomorrow
At least it's not terribly cold here.
Roy and Phil, sending it up your way.

no slips
no falls

Good morning all. We are lucky that it is well above freezing here, with an expected high of 10C/50F thanks to some air kindly pre-heated by Africa.

Took my wife for her first Covid vaccination yesterday. With my jab the day before that makes it 2 outings together in 2 days, the most we have been out together in many months

Ron, terrific squirrel-in-snow pic !

Mostly, not heard of an "adaptive defrost control board" before. Sounds like you are the one having to do all the adapting to conditions, you must really be looking forward to Friday's promised thaw.

RNG, for angle grinders my favourite cutting discs are 0.75mm (0.029") thick , made by "Tyrolit". They are an Austrian company and make these super thin discs that are about as close as it gets to "hot knife through butter" on steel tube, bar or plate. Norton also have an " ultra thin", "Quantum" range at 0.8mm(0.031") for the European market, although when I looked down the USA product range, I could only see 0.045" (1.14mm) listed, which is not going to cut as fast.

Wng, 40 years is a good life for a wheelbarrow

Don't think you can ever have too many wheelbarrows, at the moment I have two in good health and constant use, one just past repair on the scrap heap and this one that is now somewhere over 30, having been patched a few times and for the last couple of years has been on it's side awaiting a new tire while serving as a wind break shelter for lambs. LS, would you by any chance have been tempted to spray yours blue ? :)

prayers for all the folks in Texas in dire condition

The family, with no heat in their home, has resorted to burning
their toddler's toy blocks as firewood.
"A lot of people don't know the severity of what's going on.
People are tearing down their fences to burn," Garcia said, in tears.

at least here it should melt fairly soon, 41 tomorrow, and low to mid 50's mid next week.
until then going to be a lot of slippery spots and frozen melt

15 here heading to 26. Thanks for the snow daugen! I would rather that then the rain/ice we got last storm. Weather guessers can't decide if we are getting 3-4 or 8-10. Should be a long duration storm as it starts this afternoon for us and goes till Saturday.
Still no word on the wife's new car. I imagine it is stuck on a railroad car or delivery truck somewhere. Might take a ride today to the dealer and see if they can locate it.
Not much planned for today as my acid reflux is back in high gear for some reason! Need to stick with bland food till it goes away. Sure sucks not being able to eat what you want! I'm on the strongest meds they have for this and still having issues. Need to get it fixed before the meds do more damage then the relief. Oh well! Maybe the camera check in May will finally see something.
Hope everyone can get through this wacky weather! Stay safe and healthy everyone!

27 outside this AM. Heading to 30. Ground is already covered. Anywhere from 2 to 10 inches is expected. Then ice on top of that.

Got the temp fence done yesterday and two more horses showed up. CFO is making some moves.

Here she is inspecting the fence line. I was only off 100 feet on the plot. LOL.
Hey it is temporary.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe...and stay healthy my friends.

BTW nice rides. They are work vehicles too. LOL.20210217_105049.jpeg

Brewed regular 2 cup pot of coffee. 9° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 26° with some snow in afternoon. Trip to UTV dealer was uneventful. They delivered it in afternoon. It's a 2018 Kawasaki Mule SX XC 4x4. Only problem is windshield (Plastic) has a film on it. Going to try cleaning it. Otherwise will replace. Took my golf cart in trade. Photo scanning is on hold. Need to read Mule Manual. No other plans today. Took Mule to neighbor to show it to him. He says let's go out to the woods. Got about 20' into unplowed snow. Stuck. It did get itself out of the 18" deep snow. I think it needs snow tires. :confused2:

Mostly, but it is a Side by Side. They had a couple of nice Polaris models there. But way out of my price range.

Wngsprd, I have on of those 40+ year old wheelbarrows also. Used the same as you. Needs a new wheel. Been debating whether to get a flat free one.

Randy, when you get a chance can you explain using a heat gun to repair a windshield.

Buppies, Kawasaki dealer is closest to my place. I could drive there with mule. It's about 2 miles away.

David, I liked my golf cart for 17 years. Hope the Mule does the same.

Rick, windshield on the mule has a flip-up lower section that allows lot of air in cab when up. I got enough off price if I cannot fix film on windshield. I never had a problem with the plastic windshield on golf cart.

Thanks for all the picture comments. I cannot walk past kitchen window without checking to see if there is a picture taking opportunity.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning all

21 now highs in the upper 20’s and cloudy today. The snow isn’t due to start until this evening. 2-4 inches of light fluffy stuff. Maybe the guessers will be right this time lol.

No plans for today just putter around and see what happens.

Thoughts and prayers for those still dealing with the crazy weather.

Stay safe and healthy
Enjoy your day everyone

Good Morning All.

Ron, get one of those vinyl cleaning kits the parts stores sell for Jerod with soft too, clean ax best you can. Then take the heat gun on low setting and start at about 12” and work your way in to about 6-8” depending on how hot your gun is. Use overlapping circular motions and never stop in one place. Usually doing the outside is enough but you can do both dudes, I have many times.
Trick also works in old glass windshields that have started delaminating in the corners. Basically it melts a tiny thin layer. And if you’re going to replace it anyway, you have nothing to lose.

If your wheel barrow construction model another use is short nap, shady spot handles on the ground than set just inside and get comfortable.

Good morning! 25˚F cloudy high of 30˚F forecasted. Cloudy. Today's makes the 7th consecutive day of below freezing temps. Tomorrow starts off in the teens again but is suppose to get up to 39 with sunny skies.

The good news of the day is NO ROLLING BLACKOUTS since 9 PM yesterday. I don't know if it's a temporary local thing of if they have stopped state wide. I'll have to check in with bro and Mom.

I wish y誕ll would quit showing those sweet SxS痴, I already wanted one, but I can稚 justify it on my small property. I do have immediate access to to over three hundred acres on adjoining property, but I壇 just be riding and sight seeing. Of course I can稚 justify the classic cars either.

If you can't justify it, you aren't running the numbers right...your balance sheet or Cost/Benefit should show a large amount under "Healthcare - Fun factor" :)

27 another ice event for us dry slotted for us now but more coming up to 1/2 inch

Our hunter Polaris is a 2016 900cc does well here the front and back glass help with wind only need heated seats which can be added. Put 27 inch tires and wheels radials suits our needs. The hydraulic over electric dump bed was a great add and the ps makes it easy to use

Prayers for all

Prayers for our country
