No. He cannot quit now. We forcibly got him to the ER at one point. We were told he would die fairly quickly going through the DTs at the level he is at. He had two choices: a medication that causes aversion to alcohol or drinking a controlled amount. Of course he chose alcohol.I guess he has quit drinking alcohol.

Very true. Unless the individual makes that crucial decision then there is no hope.Hard to watch people self destruct. I was on that path in my youth. Glad I changed priorities. You have to want to quit. Some people just can't. Their wires get crossed and it's hard to sort things out.
