I think you are correct on this,..... and Slowpoke Slim got some bad information from a USAA representative.I thought this too, but upon calling USAA and specifically asking if they covered the tractor while I use it (running engine) they said homeowners only covers it during “storage” not during use. It is covered under USAA homeowners for things like barn fire, flood, or a tree falling on it. I needed full replacement value for my new John Deere so this wouldn’t work.
I have been a USAA member for 59 years, and depending on who you speak to, have received bad information multiple times.
I usually call three or more times, requesting the same information, to try to get a semblance of what might be correct.
Finding out after a loss, that you are not actually covered for that specific loss, due to incorrect agent information, is a very bad thing!
