The moderators for each forum used to be listed at the bottom of the page, but I see that's no longer the case.

I can still see the moderators at the bottom?
It doesn't show when your in a thread post but it shows under the sections such as News/Feedback.

Nope, nobody is at 50k but I figure it will eventually happen and when it does, we better have a title for it.

Muhammad's response (that you quoted) was made in 2010. I don't think Soundguy had that many posts back then.
