17F clear sky mid 30's for high windy day.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...trip to town for goodies other than that putter.

Enjoy the day all.

41 rainy and windy. Never saw the forecasted snow while outside doing chores this morning. Only going up to 48.

Great scorpion photo, Don...you're quick on the draw.

Kyle's getting spoiled on a tasty trio...lucky guy....we had what we call shepherd's pie (ground turkey).

Eric, it sounds like fun going to Wales...nice looking area...4 hour wait, not so much.

RNG, your place looks great, hard to think a fire swept through a while back.

Primarily a conserve energy day yesterday. Did make a run for some dog meds, and got most of my son/DIL's taxes complete.

Looks like my photo files are too large to post.

Good morning! We have dipped into the 30s again. Shorts are back in the drawer. 39˚F heading to the mid 60s. Sunny skies. We are too dry and have not had any significant rain since the Valentine's week big freeze.

Got my first professional haircut yesterday. First in 13 months. Temperature taken and face mask worn, waiting area 6' apart and outside.
Sine the Governor lifted the face mask requirement there has been no change that I have seen except for the grocery store in Giddings. Half of the customers in Brookshire Brothers did not have mask. Our neighborhood announced they will go to stage 3 April 5th. Now I have to figure out what that means.

Our Garden Club is having their big Simi Annual plant sale this Saturday. Sign-up time to work was when I was in-between my shots and I did not want to commit before my second vaccination. After the delayed injection they sent out a memo that they had plenty of workers and no more sign-up slots available.

Still working on hedges around the yard - 18 now are probably dead and need to be removed, just a fire hazard. I think I'll replace them with dwarf holly youpon. They require very little trimming and are drought tolerant, but I'll have make sure I'm not just planting deer food.

Oh yes, cha-ching, I have been stimulated. I like to think of it as an off-set for the gasoline price increase for the next four years, or the "Green" energy off-set that has been added to the electric bill for the next 10 years for one week of electricity during the big freeze.

Everyone have a safe Friday.

Good morning.
It’s 32 with a high of 45 and breezy with clear skies.
Tempest says we got 3/4” of rain yesterday, the Davis reported 0”, so I guess trouble shooting that is on today’s to do list. I was looking forward to the comparison, it’s the first rain event since I installed the Tempest. All other parameters track well between them.

Yesterday was spent mostly in the shop, but I did go to the auto parts store for wiper blades for the wife’s RAV4. I think that I’m one of those old guys that remembers buying gas for under a quarter a gallon, and was appalled to pay fifty bucks for a pair of wiper blades. I’ve adjusted to $3 a gallon gas, but the wiper blades caught me by surprise.

Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 6:00AM. Cloudy skies early, followed by partial clearing. High near 60F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.
Gentle, steady rain yesterday amounted to 1.14" through the Davis rain gauge before ending at about 8PM. There's no more in the 10-day, and we'll be hitting the high 70s by the end of next week. Less rain means less brush, but the farmers that depend on snow melt and our reservoirs are going to have a tough time growing crops this summer. Wups, just had a little rain on the roof, one of the scattered showers in the area according to the radar.

What kind of wiper blades cost fifty bux a pair, Paul?

If it makes you feel any better, #2 Diesel was selling for just shy of four bux a gallon in town yesterday.🤬 I didn't need any, but I could buy all I wanted and there were no lines. That hasn't always been the case...

Earlier this week I got a letter dated March 1 from the Treasury Department telling me to expect a $600 stimulus check. Huh? I read the amount was to be $1400, but as Don pointed out, it was dependent on income. Yesterday the full amount showed up as a pending direct deposit, and today it looks like it cleared. Color me confused. At 38 gallons a pop, it'll only take 9.2 fillups of the F250 to take care of that stimulus check.

TGIF gang!

Morning, had a little under 1" of rain yesterday (plastic manual rain gauge) and driveway is packed with baby earthworms, a few thousand in 600 feet or so. What a mess.
Eric - looks like you passed the prawf for your MOT!
Good wiper blades are expensive now, but still don;t seem to last all that long.

Stay safe and be well.

34°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 52° today. Looks like the rain is done with us until next week. The snow never materialized last night, as the rain broke up earlier than predicted.

Nice pictures, fellas.

I had a similar reaction the last time I bought new wipers for our vehicles, Paul. It's just crazy what stuff costs now.

$600 was the full amount of the second stimulus check. Did anyone else get a letter?

Edit - I just saw on the post office e-mail that I'm getting a letter from the Treasury Dept today.

Mr. Lube here is offering new wiper blades for free if you get an oil change!
