Just got a used tractor this week. Tried to raise the 3 point and nothing happened.

Strangely when curling the bucket up, the 3 point will raise to the position I had set it at with the lever. It's the only way I can find to raise the 3 point hitch.

It seems to me like perhaps some lines are crossed somewhere. Any advice for how to fix?

Note: I did reply to a previous post with this same issue, but thought I'd create a new thread for all the people searching for a solution in the future who have the same problem.

Typical cause is a hydraulic line on the loader valve in the wrong port.

However, it is always wise to ensure quick couplers for the loader are properly seated. Disconnect and then reconnect each of them.

If the loader valve has 7 lines it has a power beyond feature.

Power Beyond is used to feed other hydraulic circuits on the tractor like the 3 pt hitch and rear remotes.

Does your loader have a Third Function kit installed..... i.e. push buttons on joystick typically used when a grapple is installed to control flow to grapple cylinders.

I have asked a friend to get me a copy of the Assembly Instructions for a LA765 which will detail how the various lines are to be connected but this may take a day or two to get.

It does not have a third function kit installed. Not yet anyway. I was planning to install that tomorrow, but perhaps i'll wait till the current issue is sorted out.

Thanks for looking for the LA765 assembly instruction. Much appreciated.

Just checked hydraulic fluid levels and they are barely on the dipstick. Do you think that could be my problem?

Going to pickup some oil when places open again on Monday and top it off.

Any good/local auto parts store or TCS should have hydraulic oil, why wait till Monday.... I would also check connections of hydraulic hoses to see the are in correct position at quick connects...

Further to my earlier post suggesting two or more lines have been inadvertently swapped, I am attaching the one critical page from the LA765 Assembly Instructions.

I have also marked up that same page with the colors Red Green and Blue. These colors have no importance other than my marking scheme to help you realize what is important. There may be colors put on by Kubota. What is important is where the physical line connects to the hydraulic block on one end of the hose and the loader valve on the other end.

I do not see low fluid level causing your symptoms. However, proper level is important for many other reasons.

If you solve your problem please report back as it helps us all learn!

Dave,

Thanks for that information on the hose routing. I was able to identify and confirm that those 3 lines are hooked up to the correct ports on both ends. I will report back after I top up the fluid levels.

Thanks Dale. I confirmed that the 4 hydraulic hoses from the loader to the quick connects are connected to the right ports according to the color marked on them. I also disconnected and reconnected to make sure they are seated properly.

The reason I was waiting till monday was so that I could get the recommended hydraulic oil for my machine. I am curious how important it is to use the Kubota SUDT2. Do you feel any hydraulic oil would be fine?

I suggest you try disconnecting the quick connects for the loader cylinders and then see how the 3 pt hitch responds.

Relying on the color tags can be misleading. With two bucket quick connects disconnected completely it will be interesting to see if the loader arms work properly.

I do not recommend mixing hydraulic fluids. Especially if you have a HST or GST.

Good idea. I will try the 3pt hitch after disconnecting the loader cylinder quick connects.

Can you explain a little more what you mean by the below? Are you saying I should disconnect only 2 of them and test?
