Spring arrived with 24° and clear skies. Warming starting today.

Got a grocery and cat food pick up this morning, while I’m there I’m going to check one last time in the paperwork for the UTV then move on.

Went to dinner with daughter and family last night, I had really good fish and chips.

Today is my oldest grandson’s birthday. 12 years old today, becoming a young man. I just wish his mom mom could have been here to see it.

Time to move, groceries are waiting.

Have a good day.

Oh, I almost forgot, a few weeks ago when everyone was discussing high electric bills. Mine was $303, I knew that wasn’t right and they showed us using more between midnight and 6 than any other time. I called them they came and switched out the meter. I don’t know what they found but they credited me $446, so I’m guessing there was a problem.

RNG, interesting comment about hydroelectric power. What is the big environmental impact other than flooding the valley?

The flooding is the biggest one, but the treehuggers complain about ruined fisheries and lost habitat as well. The solar arrays get blamed for ruining the "viewshed".

Good morning, the temperature is 25°F and going up to 54. wind SW 7 mph. Sunny!

A dump run and town are on for today.

What with all the lakes and rivers in Canada, I really cannot see where solar and windmill electric is any cheaper. And nuke electric is right off the scale.

Happy Birthday toppops grandson

Have a safe day all

I think a lot of fishermen might disagree about ruined fisheries, as some of the best fishing is always near the cooling water output
from the power plant, where the water discharged needs to be within 3 degrees if I remember correctly of ambient water temp.
But that three degrees of warmth is enough to attract all kinds of fish. But yes, hard to imagine trout going up stream past a hydro plant.
I know they have made progress in this area, don't know how much.

I wonder what happened to the snail darter. Seemed like the world was going to end if we didn't protect them.
At least we brought the buffalo back. What a crime that was...shooting animals just for fun out of the windows of trains going by.
Enough to make a native American cry. Darn near wiped them all out too, but herds are coming back.

Friend of mine wondered if when we get to the Pearly Gates will a person's environmental impact statement be read.
I would think that killing animals needlessly would earn one a few demerits...

nothing like a John Deere t-shirt for a boy's birthday.
Or a nice red Massey Ferguson one...
Really the good times in life Randy.

still a bit nippy to go out but sun is out and things are slowly warming up.
I have some flower planters to build out of kits.
should be a nice easy project on a pretty Saturday.
Life is good.

Good morning! 36˚F heading to the high 60s. Sunny.

The paperwork here for my vaccination required insurance information and my Mom also reported that she was required to give insurance information. My Brother near Dallas was not required. They have hire a lot of people to give the vaccine and to direct people and cars so I'm sure the reimbursement for labor cost will come from somewhere.

Lots of vaccines this week in Texas but no J&J. Is anyone getting to choose a vaccine by choosing a site? Do you know what vaccine will be given when you sign up?

Got a package delivered yesterday that had tape over a bashed in hole on the side. It said ceramic all over the box and rattled when I picked it up. So much for quality assurance anywhere down the line. I had to give the company a call when their web site's only option was to pay for return shipping. Anyway they have good people on the phone and will send out another.

Buppies is a stick party when you get a sip a stick?

OH, you opened up a big pearly gate here since eating animals is not required for human life, one could say all animal killing is needless.

In December it was reported that covid was the #1 Killer in 2020. Now after all the numbers are in, heart disease was still #1, cancer #2 and covid #3. If I can relocate that source that was reported this month I'll post it.
