kOua is right on. I have a pin with spring clip. I just pull the clip and let the pin drop, then stick my tow/tie down chain in behind the holes and install the pin. I have to do it this way as the chain's hooks won't fit with the pin installed. I have to install the pin upside down, as there is no clearance for pin head on top. It's clear as Mud.
Or just hook your chain to the brush guard.

That's damn clever, thank you!
Thank you!Other than using it to attach a cable or tow rope I cannot think of any other use for the setup. As already pointed out a pin and clip and your good to go.
You could always space it out by putting a block behind it and longer bolts then you can drop pin in correct way.... You do know spring clips fail and gravity works against you.....Thank you for your input, that’s what I’m going to do! I have to install my pin upside down as well because I welded expanded metal on the brush guard and now there is no clearance from the top.
That’s all I use it forOther than using it to attach a cable or tow rope I cannot think of any other use for the setup. As already pointed out a pin and clip and your good to go.
