Good morning, low temp 36, high 59°F. Wind E 11 mph. Sunny!

Got some nasty news yesterday, the DIL has 3 months to live at most. They (the doctors) are guessing it is cancer. She is bleeding somewhere and they can't tell where. Guessing the small intestine, which normally (if you can call it that) is non operable. She has been in constant pain since 2006. She was on morphine until it made her physically sick even with gravol, so that was the end of that. Tylenol doesn't touch the pain, morphine makes her sick so they gave her something else. The doctors are a little reluctant to shell out Oxycontin.

A town run is in the cards for today.

Wng, hard to believe as avid a tree fella as you has not before enjoyed the neck creaking thrill of bringing down high up branches, to say nothing of the elation of finally freeing a saw stuck up high. Have fun !

Eric, I should have said it is my first "powered pole saw." I've had a manual pole saw (same one for 30 years) and used it a lot...in fact it has a reach probably close to 20' so I'll still use it for high branches.

Carving is so good it looks photo-shopped.

RS, they look like bigtooth. We have them here.

Spent about half the day cutting up the rest of that big oak and splitting and stacking...a good way to keep my vaccinated arm moving the next day after the shot. So far, no after effects from shot #2. More rounds to split and a pile to bring up to storage, but I think I'll work on some other things today.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...since arm still sore from C19 very little ranking,walk the stream remove all blockage,straighten metal boarder stone to grass around the house than putter.

My wife made a picnic yesterday and brought it back where I was splitting...I made a table with a centerpiece from a knotty split and plates from some thin slices of log.

That thinking from Doctors has always confounded me, "they could become addicted" at that stage so what.
To me comfort for the individual is more important.
Sorry to hear of her issues, it's rough when the younger ones are going before it should be their time.
