How big is that pin?

The MF pins are made like these:

They are made just like the finger-pinching snappers or 'lynchpins' used on the end of 3pt hitch posts, attachments , etc. except the wire-like part is longer, curved, and arches over the sway bars. They flip up and down spring loaded exactly like the lynch pins. No way you are ever going to lose these in normal operation.

Perfect! Thanks for measuring them oosik! My tractor is up on my farm and I couldn't get to it right now to get a measurement. What am I doing that's causing these pins to be lost?... Aging! I don't know how many times I've laid the pin on the top of the tire or somewhere on the 3 point or implement and driven away. Usually remember it and can backtrack and find it, but not always .

These pins are $20 each at a kubota dealer. I Found these 12mmX80mm (.47"x3.12") on Amazon, 2 for $11.99. Just ordered them so haven't tried them yet, will let you know.

Along with these new pins get some small chain that can have the links spread and then collapsed. Use the chain to attach the pins to the bar.

Here's a tip:
Put the spring clip ahead of the bar instead of behind it. You'll lose less of them from being snagged by stiff weeds and light brush while traveling forward.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but just wanted to let y'all know these pins worked perfectly for the stabalizer bars in my Kubota M7060.

Far more likely to be 12mm than 1/2". There's very little on that tractor chassis thats not metric. 1/2" may be too big for the holes in the bars.

The three point hitch stuff is actually standard. 5/8 pins stabilizers in my Kubota, top link pins all standard too 7/8 and holes in end of hitch legs. The three point hitch stuff is all standard.

its a little like the 3/8 drive ratchet. Standard because it was invented by an English nation originally.
