BX 2380
Put on a ballast box a few weeks ago on my bx2380. I’m guessing it might weigh 300+ pounds. At first it wouldn’t rest on the ground when lowering the three point. Now it does! I’ve looked at everything from case to lift arms and there are no leaks or cracks that I can see. Everything works fine. The box rests on the ground when I let it down.
Wonder if there is something broken inside the hydro system. Is there an adjustment on the outside that limits the downward travel of the three point hitch?
Hope it’s something simple! Thoughts?

Were you parked on a flat surface the first time?
Are you in the same spot now?
If the front is raised, the 3 point arms will go lower.

Yup, I was on a cement floor. Just went out and stared it up and raised the three point with the ballast box and let it back down. Now the box is about an inch from the floor....strange?

It may be binding on the lift arms.

Need pictures.

Do you have a valve in front of your seat to control the 3pt speed? I can't remember if that keeps it from going up, but it will stop it from going down.

The BX does have a three point control that either locks the level or controls the speed of drop.
Been thinking about this and wondering if there is a relief valve that could be acting up? When my snow blower was on, the pins on the blower would allow a drop exceeding ground level. The ballast box pins are lower on the box and therefor don’t usually allow it to bottom out.
