It's been over a week since I got my second shot and my hair is already shinier and more manageable. Not only that, my nails are less brittle and I've lost two pounds. I just knew it was gong to work out. :sneaky:
Must be nice to have hair.....

We have been fortunate where I work...

Not taking any credit but protocol is strict...

Ironic in my circle outside work avoided anyone working in healthcare as a precaution...

Very early prediction from infection control said based on the numbers a percent of those we work with will be no longer with us...

Some docs even disappeared for several months last year saying risk to great.

Pleased to say reports appear to have been exaggerated...
So the adherence to protocol was higher than anticipated. Like they say when handling explosives, 'better safe than sorry'.

Based on science - Health care workers are not at a higher risk of contracting Covid on the job.
But, other articles stated that in the first 6 months of the virus, healthcare workers that were in direct contact with covid were 3-7 times more likely to catch it. Many hospitals had run out of PPE and were going without, reusing, or trying to clean masks.
Also, 3600 healthcare workers had died of covid in 12 months.

When I got my first shot, the place was packed, and I had to wait about 45 minutes. I got my second shot today, and the waiting room was empty.

I also learned that everyone on my first visit was getting their first shot of the Pfizer vaccine, and everyone today was getting their second shot of Pfizer.

So what happened to all the people? Am I one of the few survivors? I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation, but I have to say it was rather creepy.

drssg . . . I've had both of mine (pfizer) awhile now . . . I think a lot has to do with J&J having some problems? Hopefully more will get inoculated and the "herd" will be safe until the next go around of something.

Getting vaxcinated is certainly better than the alternative.
That must be what people are thinking in countries that can't get the vaccines, they are flying in to the US to get the shot(s)

My second shot goes in next week. I'm expecting to have a full head of hair by June. 🙂
