Best grapple for an L48?

Hi all, after my bent-tube experience, I now see how a grapple can be very cool for a TLB. I have watched several youtubes regarding types, weight, length of bottom teeth, hydralic, electic, and manual. This board is full of experience. Any opinions on what would be a good compromise on weight to useability? I think my loader is about 2000# in lift capability last time I looked at specs.

Your L48 loader Lift capacitiy, to full height, from bucket mid point is 2260 lbs.
If you are willing to pay the price, the Everything Attachments (Hardox) grapples are the very best!

I agree. If I could have justified it, I would have got an EA grapple.

Intended use more dictates the grapple selection than tractor model.
Your L48 is heavier built than most ag tractors. I run a 72” skidsteer long bottom brush grapple on my old M5030 and now M59. Would not want anything lighter duty.

EA wicked 54” grapple on the B26 is perfect for that size. They use good engineering and materials selection. Cost more, does more adds up over the years. Low Up front cost rarely is the long term bargain.

Like the dual lid grapples. I rather spend money upfront and not have problems to fix later.

Good competition has some good grapples available.

I did not buy the EA grapple either.
I wanted a long bottom tooth design, and could not find that design on their website.

I’ve got a Kioti DK5510 with front remote. My grapple isn’t the best but works well for my use. I can pick up 3 telephone poles at once with back ballast. Depends on your needs and what you do with it. I use mine mainly to pick up firewood.

If you plan to work your grapple hard, buy it from EA.
If you want a good grapple, buy an EA or Land Pride.
If you just want a grapple, buy a cheap one!

For your L48, you should not be digging rocks with a loader mounted grapple, that is more like CTL work.
You have a nice tough 11' BH for rocks, and you can pick rocks up with most any grapple!

I have a 500 lb. (long bottom teeth) $1,200 grapple, from MS Attachments, on my L48, because all I need to pick up is small logs, and brush.
I have EA 4,400 lb.cap. forks for any really heavy stuff, and my Q/A with hydraulic locking,(no dismount necessary) makes changing super easy.

Does the long tine dig the earth well? I understand it is not a root rake, but I want a general-purpose that will allow me to do some light root work. Shaped like that EA Wicked basically.
