PS A 2017-19 Chevy Bolt burned the other day and did over $250K in damages to the property.
Owner says the car had Chevy's charge limit program update.
Looking like full battery replacement may be necessary after all.?
Usually if a gas/diesel vehicle catches fire it's because it was involved in an accident and the fuel system was broken (or something like a semi truck with a hanging brake).gas cars catch fire more often, they just do it usually when running down the road and not in a garage.
So you get a fed discount up front and a state charge on ownership.
Many states like CA are pushing for Electric autos, without the infrastructure to support them, or people with enough money to buy them.
It'll get there some day...
We had a rash of cars burn up in the owners garage. Then they had a recall of 4.5 million vehicles.gas cars catch fire more often, they just do it usually when running down the road and not in a garage.
