Today will be a great day - sunny and high 60’s. Perfect.

We have a DIII NCAA tennis regional tournament this weekend (Friday-Sunday) at my wife’s place. 8 teams with the winner going to the National Championship.

Lots of stuff to do to prepare.

Weather should be OK except maybe Sunday.

This will be lots of fun. Pretty great tennis as well. My wife loves being the host to these events.

Stay safe.

41°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 68°. When I got up this morning, the iThingie's weather app said we were getting some drizzle, yet there was nothing in the sky to drizzle from. Swing and a miss.

Got some more grass mowed after work yesterday. We have one spot on the "new ground" near the pond that is low and collects water when it rains. Wife got the zeroturn stuck in it last week, but I was able to pull her out by hand with a tow strap. The fence contractor, though, really did a number on that spot with his skid steers. Couldn't mow there last night, and have some serious repairs to do. Going to need to bring in some more dirt to raise the area a bit. I'll be bringing in dirt for the new shooting berm anyway, so I'll just kill both birds with that stone.

The zeroturn gave me fits again getting the lever switch working. I sprayed all the mechanical connections with Ballistol and worked them around, but it is still hanging up on something. I was able to wiggle the lever around enough to get it going eventually, so I just cut nonstop until I was done. Going to rain all weekend here, so I'll have some time to get more in-depth with it.

Nice pictures, fellas.

Good to see MossRoad posting here without having to chastise us.

Amazing that no one was killed in the mid-air collision. The metro-liner airplane is a tank. When I was flying home from Thunder Bay,ON regularly it was a metro-liner 3 that Bearskin Air used. No assigned seating in those days and I always went to the very back of the plane.
I believe the pilot(s) were the only ones aboard...good thing too!
I'm surprised the tail didn't break off upon landing...

After comparing the Simplicity, John Deere and Kubota garden tractors, all with power steering,
I chose the JD X390. It had a power bagger system I have owned before and has a tilt steering wheel.
No all wheel steering or drive, just rear drive and power steering. Should be fine on this level land.
List price, groan, sign of the times but they did discount the bagger 15 percent.
If we have it my are you going to pay for it, particularly at the Big Green.
Actually they had to order it, no worries about chips I'm told.
In another month I should be recuperated enough to go back doing yard work.

Btw, Kubota GR model very, very nice, but not worth an extra 3k to me. Simplicity well made but I liked the
JD seat better.

my close friend in Salida CO emailed me:
Yup, the flying sewer pipe had just been in Salida for a delivery.
Amazing pilot work to survive!

What a terrible name for an airplane...

I really need to spray but just too much wind. I can’t catch a break with the wind. I guess I’ll mow anyway.
Maybe late today or very early in the morning before the wind picks up.

RNG and the runaway cart- be carefull, I like to side park if I can, glad you didn't get hurt.
I try to park across the grade, but it was steep enough there I was worried the thing would roll. With 20/20 hindsight, I should have parked up the hill were it wasn't as steep, then hoisted the hose from there. Where I did park was where the first 100' of hose ended, and where the coil I was putting into the SBS happened to end up. I should also have a look at adjusting the parking brake. It uses something in the drive train instead of on the axles to brake, and it's not very effective. But I've never seen it be that ineffective. It was also in 4x4 mode, and in gear, but none of that seemed to matter. Maybe it's time for a new one?

Yesterday's mail brought a closing statement from T-Mobile, and they want fifty bucks, again, for what was supposed to be a free trial. So it looks like I need to sift trough all the previous correspondence and see if I can dig up the number for the last idiot I spoke with there that assured me they had it all "taken care of". With all the time I've spent waiting on hold to talk to someone, and all the email I've sent trying to explain the problem, I've probably spent twenty hours on this so far. At $125/hour for my time, maybe I should file suit in small claims court and turn the tables on them by turning a collection agency loose on them.
A few days ago, I went to pay one of my credit card bills and discovered a T-Mobile charge for more than $150.00. I have nothing to do with T-Mobile and have no idea how such a charge got on there. I first tried calling T-Mobile to see if they could tell me anything, but I never even succeeded in finding a way to talk to a human. But when I called the credit card folks, that charge was removed with no questions.
