I don't get sick as a rule, which I attribute to staying active and not being around people much. A local conspiratist who still believes that Covid is a farce told me there was as much flu as normal this year, it's just been attributed to Covid.

Sounds like a bar owner I know. Kept the bar open, no masks needed, or social distancing in effect.
He caught COVID and was dead in two weeks. Admitted on his death bed he was wrong.Was a little too late then.

Sad but not an uncommon occurrence unfortunately. My exwife lost her aunt in a similar manner. Not saying live in a bubble, but just basic precautions. A little bit goes a long way. Wouldn't need shutdowns to the extent we had if we had basic distancing and masking by most if not everyone from the start.

Problem with this theory is that they literally test sick people to see what's wrong, and they test them for covid and flu and a ton of other things.

We can make up all kinds of conspiracy theories but doctors have every incentive to get their diagnoses correct.

When there is a monetary incentive to diagnose a specific illness, it just might effect even the most honorable physicians determination.

I never heard of any expert that said two weeks of restrictions would flatten the curve.

You have to be able to discern between those talking heads who claim to be experts, and those that actually have the credentials to be considered experts. Every "real" expert I have heard recommend practices to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 has freely admitted that this virus is unlike most others we have experience with. And, given the rate of infection, the large number of asymptomatic carriers and lack of action to lock things down hard early in the pandemic made sure it was widely spread before measures were taken.

Can you tell me if the world wide mortality rate has increased due to this terrible pandemic?

I bet not. The data is so obscure, and the change is so small. Heck, 3 million Americans pass every year.
10,000 aged and ill hardly shows a change. Ages less than 50 have a 99.99 % survival rate IF they contract the illness. Not a significant risk.

Prove it wrong with real data....There isn't any. It's all "fixed".

CDC has nearly zero deaths due to flu, when normally 30K +people would perish due to flu. Obfuscation!


Maybe it just a wake up call to loose 50 pounds of ugly fat!

I'll have to disagree with this. My mother went to the hospital because of difficulty breathing. She was diagnosed covid even though her test was negative. The Dr. said it was a false negative. She was sent to the covid unit in another hospital at midnight. 2 days later after 2 more negative test and no symptoms she was re-diagonosed with pneumonia, she did not have covid. If the Dr. cannot figure out quickly what is wrong and you have ANY covid symptoms even with a false test they diagnose you with covid.

The testing is not perfect and if you work in the hospital, seems they will put a new patient in the covid section if you have all the symptoms to help protect the workers and other patients. Its not a perfect system that will make everyone happy.

Her only symptom was difficulty breathing. Her fever was low grade less than 99˚F and none the second time the first hospital took it. During that time the diagnoses default was always covid if anyone had ANY of the symptoms. Not all of the symptoms.
