I had a little green Poulan like that one. It had a built in chain sharpener. kind of a little screamer.. No chain brake so I let it go..

My eye sight is pretty poor, but i'll take a stab at it, as it looks like the fuel filter hose has a screw in the end. If so, how could that happen??
Thats a redneck tank vent some use. But he put the fuel filter on tank vent line too.

Early on stihl used grub screws for tank vent. Same idea.

Where folks screw up they are suppose to be pushed in notscrewed in. Then it cuts into the line and seals off sometimes.

Had some time to go through and put new lines in my own trim saw. Echo oem line in it too now. Check valve for oiler still working since bought new in 1994.
Only thing saw ever needed was a coils early in life.

I added a front handle AV to it. The red one is a back up AV from another saw that gave me the idea.

On my echo CS-490 with a 20" chain, I keep getting the nose freezing up and stopping the chain.
Seems to be using plenty of oil and nose gear is greased.
Have this on two bars. using good/same bar oil I always use.
Bucking dead ash. It's a pain when halfway through a 15" or so branch and chain stops.

Any ideas what I should look for. One bar is new, only a few hours and never pinched.

Don’t grease the tips other then new it will trash the sprocket bearing in a hurry unless you actually flush all the said grease/grit out of the tips sprocket bearing.

I personally dislike spring assist starters aka a weak link. This body builder owner had no clue it was even on his saw. He sure dont need it.
Going to talk to him about going to standard recoil cover and pulley. About the same dang cost of replacing the spring assist parts.

Poulan 8500 full wrap handle. Has the 8500 grip style. Can be used on the 5200 5400 etc. from what I recall when I had the NOS full wrap ones. Just the type grips used was different between the 3.

Also picked on a 310 handle to hopefully talk the local into fixing the redneck repaired one soon.
