If you don't mind my asking, how much was it? (The website just wants me to contact a dealer) I just want something to move dirt, gravel, sand, compost, or mulch and dump around the property. Road legal isn't a must but it's part of why I feel like the one I posted us overpriced.

I live a mile and a half from the local hardware store where I buy mulch and compost. They also sell sand and topsoil. I'd be willing to haul stuff home from there too, speed limits aren't but 25. Anything I get hauled in from very far off I'm most likely having delivered and dumped on site.

I feel like this is a decent deal, for 4k lb capacity. Even once I factor in the cost of the cylinder, hoses, and whatnot. I have rear remotes.

I was just looking at my receipt a couple of days ago. I paid about $2600, plus our 5.5% Maine Sales tax. It's good for my purposes.

That part of Norway looks just like where I live in Illinois, except there aren’t endless miles of corn and soybean field, and it’s mostly flat around here, and no visible rocks. In other words totally different. Thanks for the pictures.

It could pass for Washington or Alaska. Illinois not so much.

We had a tornado zip through a couple weeks ago. Missed the cabin but flattened about 40 acres of spruce and poplar. Got most of my trails cleaned up. Probably going to hire my neighbour and his D9 to push it into piles later this winter. Way to much to deal with for a guy with a small tractor and winch.

Quite a mess ! Are you going to let the piles rot or burn them ?

I’ll cut some of it up for firewood But it’s mostly poplar and unless you cut , split, and cover it it’s punky within a couple years. I’m hoping my rancher neighbour can find time this winter to push it into piles. From there I’ll either burn it in a couple years or let it rot.
On a positive note I found sand and gravel under one of the tipped over root balls. Only a couple feet of overburden. Be nice to gravel my 2km of clay road coming into my place. It can be a challenge getting in after a day or two of rain. But that’s a topic for a whole new post. Stay tuned😎

The trailer is a Pronovost P503. Made in Canada. The empty weight is 640 lbs. I can pick the tongue up but it's not light. Here are the specs

I made some mods so I could run it several ways. I use it a lot and it is very handy like you say.

Gordon. 640 lbs doesn’t sound that heavy. I recently built an atv walking beam trailer. I got concerned of the weight in the end and have yet to try it out with a load. I’m estimating it to be 460 lbs. I’m concerned of its weight.

I bought a used King Kutter trailer off craigslist a while back. I took it apart and did some rust mitigation. I put bedliner on the inner panels and the bed, stripped off the stickers, and painted the front, sides, and tailgate. Still a lot of things to do but put it back to work bringing in wood from my trails. Having taken it apart I can tell you its a heavy duty trailer and I have a lot more respect for the thickness of the steel that I anticipated.
