I lost a lot of respect for the Eagles ownership after they let Reid go. Suffice to say, I consider Kansas City my "2nd team" now and root hard for Reid.
I'm not certain which superbowl you watched, but that game between the Eagles and the Pats went down the wire, and it did involve some luck at the right time, but I thought it was a nail biter to the bitter end, and needless to say, put a smile on my face at the end of the night. To some extent, Pederson and Foles gave something to the City in hindsight, they may not have deserved to have.
Eagles fans can be brutal to both the organization as well as competitors fans. To be honest, there were sometimes I was kind of embarrassed by being at the vet rooting for the Eagles. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind cheering loud for my team, but belittling fans who are the for the visiting team is just plane wrong IMO and shows horrible sportsmanship. Keep in mind, I was at a couple of games when Buddy Ryan was the coach LMAO I never liked dallas, but I don't hate them, and I have more respect for Jimmy Johnson than I had for Buddy.
As a football fan, how could you not respect Tom Laundry and Roger Staubach (sp?) even if you didn't like the team? No different than Bill Billicheck (sp?) and Tom Brady IMO. Walsh and Montana come to mind as well. Who could ever forget "the catch"? Luck only goes so far year after year in winning championships to the same team.
That said, Pederson made the catch of the day at their victory parade IMO over all the other head coaches in the same position
And what football fan can't believe that the Saints had the biggest rip off in the history of the NFL?
This year, given last year's odd start, is up for grabs IMO on what two teams will be playing in the superbowl.
