What teams will play in the next Superbowl?

I agree, but they had way too much money into Wentz at the time and didn't want egg on thier face.

Just look at Josh Allen's new contract.

Thing is, who actually knows how these contracts are written other than the people getting paid big bucks to ensure the money is there. The money alone rubs me more the wrong way than anything else for just playing a game and being entertainment.
Agree, but add to the money the middle finger given to the USA by the players and much of its fan base with the "protest" BS and maybe you can understand why this once content pro-football fan now thinks the NFL sucks

The commissioner, Rodger the dodger, is responsible for not holding players and coaches accountable for turning a sport into a platform for whatever.

Actually, it was money paid by American tax dollars by the department of defense to the NFL that put players on the field to begin with in NFL for the national anthem.

At the end of the day, if no one is causing a disturbance when the national athem or when a prayer is in session, the only distubance being caused is by people paying attention to something they shouldn't be in the first place.

If your supposed to be watching the flag while the anthem is playing, how to you notice anything else?

Since the olympic games in Greece a couple thousand of years ago, protests by athletes have always been in progress. The difference? News and what sells today.

Who says folks are supposed to be watching the color guard when the national anthem is playing?...Do you think the military does flyovers for games so folks will ignore them ? LoL...!

I think skydiving demonstrations using the Flag is a much better use of funds, the demonstration last longer and is just as "cool" .

If you want a better demonstration of military hardware, enlist;)

Ironically just got a text from my next door neighbor asking me my opinion of hotels to stay at in Pittsburgh. He's going up for a Steelers game. Bunch of his family is driving up, and I told him to make NC proud if they make it on the jumbotron. His response - "I am sure a bunch of Appalachian Americans won't have much trouble doing that"🤣

Well he’s gone now! That didn’t take long.
Foles won the SB for them in convincing fashion, beating the GOAT, not some Johnny come lately
Still sore about that and lost a lot of respect for the Eagles ownership.
Philly isnt exactly a “title town”. The sports team owners here are good at business, but suck at building dynasties.

I lost a lot of respect for the Eagles ownership after they let Reid go. Suffice to say, I consider Kansas City my "2nd team" now and root hard for Reid.

I'm not certain which superbowl you watched, but that game between the Eagles and the Pats went down the wire, and it did involve some luck at the right time, but I thought it was a nail biter to the bitter end, and needless to say, put a smile on my face at the end of the night. To some extent, Pederson and Foles gave something to the City in hindsight, they may not have deserved to have.

Eagles fans can be brutal to both the organization as well as competitors fans. To be honest, there were sometimes I was kind of embarrassed by being at the vet rooting for the Eagles. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind cheering loud for my team, but belittling fans who are the for the visiting team is just plane wrong IMO and shows horrible sportsmanship. Keep in mind, I was at a couple of games when Buddy Ryan was the coach LMAO I never liked dallas, but I don't hate them, and I have more respect for Jimmy Johnson than I had for Buddy.

As a football fan, how could you not respect Tom Laundry and Roger Staubach (sp?) even if you didn't like the team? No different than Bill Billicheck (sp?) and Tom Brady IMO. Walsh and Montana come to mind as well. Who could ever forget "the catch"? Luck only goes so far year after year in winning championships to the same team.

That said, Pederson made the catch of the day at their victory parade IMO over all the other head coaches in the same position ;)

And what football fan can't believe that the Saints had the biggest rip off in the history of the NFL?

This year, given last year's odd start, is up for grabs IMO on what two teams will be playing in the superbowl.

I’m not sure if this has already been discussed. Please forgive if it’s already been posted. If anyone is offended by the link, just say so and I’ll delete.
I think we are really derailing the thread now, not that is hasn't been done before 🤣

But, when you ask if a new topic has been discussed, it's time to start a thread of it's own for it if you wish to do so because you know it's not the topic at hand (hey, it's easy to go off on a tangent, believe me, I know;)).

Please note, even though I got off the tracks, I tried to bring it back round per my last sentence in my previous post.

I was at the parade with my kids, I will never forget it. Standing room only. Stunt planes writing “Dilly dilly Philly” in the sky. What a crazy day. The players cam by on the busses and we were throwing beers (Bud Light of course) to each other.

Sigh….man how things have changed.
The fun of nearly everything has been ruined.

By convincing fashion, I mean they outscored them. As far as luck goes, the GOAT has had his share of wins with a wee bit of “controversy“. Brandon Graham’s strip sack and Chris Longs sack and Ertzs TD catch were pivotal moments, too.
But Nick was very good that day and the TD catch on the Philly Special was simply outstanding.
