You may have not been serious, but I can afford dozens of them, cash. That does not mean I do not watch every nickel. I do. Every last one.

Curious if Ford has you pay up front for a 26+ week delivery
When I ordered my truck in '96, I had a $500 deposit at the ordering dealer.
Similar when I ordered a Chevy Impala SS in '96... occasionally wish I still had that car, but I prefer the truck and I barely drive as it is...

A week or so ago I traded my 17 F350 Platinum diesel for a 2020 F450 Limited. When I got my 17 the sticker was 77 something K .. dealer gave me 69750.00 for it on a trade. Said it didn't matter if I bought his truck or not..they would write me a check for 69750.00 and give me a ride home if I wanted to sell it. Truck was super clean and only 24k miles ..still thought it was crazy money for a 4 year old truck so I got the new one. The 2020 has the 10 speed transmission and 1050 FP of torque along with lower gearing..but on the ride home from the dealer ( 100+ miles ) I reset the mpg thing..it was getting 19.5 on the highway empty at 70 mph...I thought that was really good. Have only put another 60-70 on it since around town and it's at 16.5. .. still pretty impressive for a ginormous vehicle. Taking it this week to NY pulling our camper it's a bike in the back..weight should be about 12k +\- . Towing this was the primary reason for getting the new truck. I towed it with my 350 out to NY and back one time ( 600 something miles ) and although the truck itself had zero issues with pulling the weight, the hitch weight of my trailer was at the limit of my truck @ 1500 pounds. I had added air bags to get the back end up, but that made for a very bumpy ride. .. hoping the 450 is better.

That would be interesting if they did. That could go with the EA attachment thread.

And I think it's awesome you can afford one of the new F250's in cash. I couldn't afford it financing.

For sheets and grins I went on Carvana and Vroom to see what my 2014 F250 Lariat (150k miles) would go for. Vroom offered me $33,594 and I paid $35K for it in 2018.

Since it's deleted no way would I sell it. It's worth two new F250's to me. :D

Someone mentioned Vroom so I figured I'd check it out

What do you think
1997 Ford F350 PSD Crew Cab Long Bed 4x4
Almost stock (replaced downpipe, they probably don't care about the aftermarket wheels & tires; there's no lift)
Good condition (super clean inside, paint is ok, never been in salt), about 190k miles

I guess pawn stars runs Vroom?

If I put a for sale sign on it with this vvvv and parked it by the road at the informal used car lot there'd be a traffic jam in no time.

How many miles you have on that F350?

190k.
I can see $700 is it's literally not running, but it runs really well, etc etc.
I'd have to think long and hard about selling it for $20k even, I like having a truck and don't want to buy someone else's used truck and certainly don't use a truck nearly enough to buy a new truck, so for me this truck is perfect to have lying around getting driven once a week (more in the winter, it's my ski truck).

List it for $20K on Craigslist and see what happens. The old 7.3L seems to be popular.

I only checked Vroom out of curiosity (my mechanic asking if I ever think of selling it every few years when he sees it for something - most recently was tie rods 4 years ago); I really like having a truck, though I only use it as a "truck" once or twice a month and not very far typically. So, if I sold it, I'd need to get something else... and I obviously don't need a truck enough to buy a new one (though we may get my wife an F150 hybrid or electric, but... my truck is just old enough that I don't care if it gets scratched, you know?) and I know what I've got with mine, so I'm pretty much stuck with it till it dies.

On Saturday I put an order in for a F250 CC 4x4 XL, I customized it for my specific needs. The dealers in NJ where quoting lead times of 12 plus weeks. The Virginia dealer was quoting 4 weeks, and they beat the price by $1,800.

Does anyone know actual lead times of these trucks in the current situation of Covid and the semi conductor shortage?
12 weeks after placing my order I was notified by the dealer that the order was bumped. Im pretty mad to wait this long and have nothing. Any thoughts on what I should do, should i put the order in again? Should i call ford direct?
So @TimberXX - What is the status now?
Did it come in?
It's been about 6 months.
