Electrical trouble shooting 101: Get it load tested (emphasis intended)!

Otherwise, you are wasting your time trouble shooting this issue and may spend money on parts not needed.

My money is still on poor ground to engine, frame, or battery post.

You’re all AWESOME. I got it running - cleaned the heck out of the connecting terminals on the battery itself and the cables. Put some dielectric grease in there too. Charged up battery and, Voila.

I had a continual starter problem (click, click, click) when I turned the key. The ignition circuit would not engage the starter solenoid on my GT275. John Deere recognized this problem and there is a starter relay booster kit available from John Deere. This is a link to the Green Parts Store with the relay kit: John Deere Starting Improvement Relay Kit - AM107421 You can also find a kit on Amazon if you search AM107421. The kit on Amazon is less expensive than from JD. This may help your starting problem.

Thanks swines, but, it turned out to be a bad connection between POS/NEG cables and the poles on the battery. Cleaned and all is fine now. Jay
