Yesterday my plan was to cut the tree line along my new mill location.
Turns out there's a 15 foot almost vertical climb I didn't see through the heavy brush at first glance.
Went around through the back. Not bad access. My idea was to drop the trees starting at the outermost edge so they fall in the mill clearing.
Trees were not as close to the edge of the vertical "cliff" as I thought but cut one anyway. It fell right where I wanted it to.
Back around at the clearing I almost couldn't see the tree I dropped.
Managed to drag it out and cut it up, but this lumbering stuff is not easy.
Or maybe it's just me LOL

No I would never have cottonwood on my place it’s a patch I’m cutting for someone else. Rows were all mechanically planted.
This is what my place looks like
Mainly western red cedar and Doug fir.

It’s still green here but I’m pretty close to the coast range, I finished thinning a piece that took a month and the slash mats are just starting to turn a little color.
