Those cabinets and countertops are absolutely freaking gorgeous! You do some nice work!

Reminds me a little of some gumwood cabinets in an old house I had once, I do miss those.

I cannot take credit for the cabinets other than installing them, those are natural hickory and we bought them and I put them up. I do love the looks of them however and thought they turned out better than I was hoping.
I will take credit for the counter tops though.. everything except planting the trees!

The copper bands are a nice touch. Looks like you took some extra effort to stabilize the check in the island overhang. Well executed...it adds to the craftsmanship.

I wanted to add something to the tops and seeing as we were going with the copper theme , sink ,door pulls etc, thought that might be nice looking. And I did not want that (2 actually) split to grow so I dealt with it in that way.. thanks for noticing.

Those are the R14 tires. First time I've seen them on a Kubota. Thanks for the pic.
What size bar is that? 28, 32? Great photo of that saw.

Bought tractor in May 2020. Dealer said I was the first set of R14s he sold. Very happy with them so far.
Saw has a 30" bar. Very pleased with it, especially excited to see what it does when broken in.

I’d be interested in running one vs the 372’s I use to run falling or even the little 462 I have now.

Skeans, do you ever feel like those trees are too majestic to cut down? Why not take the 2-3'ers and leave the big boys to grow forever? Not enough old growth forest left on this earth, IMO. Impressive work, no doubt. Just kinda sad, too.

Those aren’t old growth that’s second two why leaving something that’s dying? Clear cutting is a must you can’t just keep thinning of the natural regeneration and expect a rotation of good viable timber in say 60 to 70 years.

They are heavier for the size, don't turn up as high and are a bit more primitive. OTOH I own 3, because I don't use a saw enough to justify the expense of a Husky or Stihl.

Yeah, well they're never going to be old growth, if you cut them down. Yeah sorry I didn't mean to say those were old growth trees, I have no idea. Why are they dying?
