Tonneau Cover thoughts?

I have had the same truck Truxsport roller soft cover for years and years and years. I think it is on my fourth truck now. Does a fine job. Rolls up of out of the way when I need to haul tall things, and the attachments on the sides are by Velcro. Make sure that you press down the Velcro solidly after you unroll it, or water will get in.

Last night, I pulled the trigger on a tri fold, actually, I think its a quad fold, soft cover with frame. Price was around $280 with shipping.

Previous trucks, I always had a diamond plate tool box, and on work trucks had caps, tool boxes, and hard tonneau covers. I went about 5 or 6 years without a truck, just SUVs and then company work truck, and when two years ago, I got this truck, I decided to not put a tool box on it. I had a plastic tote with tie down straps, jumper cables, channel locks, duct tape and screw drivers; i don't drive my personal truck to work anymore, so I didnt want a tool box with 500# of misc tools and junk, if im not working out of it.

I have a roll up from Truck Covers USA. It can roll all the way open or lock at regular intervals if you need it partially open. This comes in handy to secure an odd shaped item. Having the cover roll up and out of the way is my favorite feature.

Good luck with it!

I have a trifold on my F-250 and I love it. It keeps things dry when I need it, kept the fall leaves out of my box, I don't need to tie down trash bags for my bi-monthly trash runs. I can load a full pallet behind it when folded and like the others mentioned it removes and reinstalls in minutes without tools.

I don't have any problem with it flapping in the wind, when folded out the fabric is taut. When folded up, it metal frame lays on top stopping any wind from moving it.

As theft protection goes the only real deterrent is that thieves can't tell if it is an empty box or loaded with $5000 worth of tools so they aren't likely to cut into it just to find out.
What brand/model do you have?

This is mine after unloading my snowsled... I like that it easily rolls out of the way. I believe the cover which the OP just ordered would be better when I do put my rack on the truck.
