just wondering how much a Farmall cub is worth. I think we it is late 40's all fixed up and painted several years ago. has several implements.
My dad is thinking about selling his as he hasn't used it in a couple years

Growing up grandfather had a '49 with about every implement with it. I had a 1950.
My guess, depending on what goes with it, condition, etc. (Wild guess) maybe $3,000-$4,000 in good shape.
Dad (rip) sold granddad's and I sold mine about same time, about 1995 for $2,000 each.

You would never get 3 or $4,000 around here!

1,800 to $2,500 would be more like it, and it better be nice for the $2,500, or have a bunch of accessories to get above that.

You’re not too far from me. I’ve seen them go for $1,000 to $1,500 here in upper Midwest auctions. A lot depends on condition.

Paid 2k for this one with new short block and mower for tree farm.

Pulls a wagon and in hundreds of family pictures visiting during Christmas Tree Season…

Runs Sweet and couldn’t duplicate the work for the money.

Paid 2k for this one with new short block and mower for tree farm.

Ultra runner. . . That is a beautiful tractor. Gotta be fun driving that.

I'd say $1800 to $2500 for an old style Cub in decent condition, running, and almost everything works.

They made a forest full of implements for them. The price could easily go to double that ($4000) if it included with a few choice implements - especially if it included the better 3pt hitch conversion.

You won't find a nicer small tractor for a garden type plot. 4 cylinder and 10HP!

IF only they were an OHV engine with a 4 speed trans, better yet a 4 speed with hi/lo... Truth is, for PTO work, they could use a few more HP too...

I like the Allis "G" for gardening better, but it could use a few more HP too, but at least you could get them with a 4 speed...

All true, but consider the cutenes factor....and the Vintage Americana factor. They don't come much better.
Or much better for teaching a kid about mechanical things - something that might again be valuable if our world keeps changing in the direction it appears to be going.

OK. Sure. I hear you on the Allis "G". A person really needs one of each.
And for pure high HP (12 hp), a John Deer "H" as well.
