Kioti Skid Steer / Excavator?

My dealer said that the parent company makes excavators in Korea and expects that they will begin importing them within a year or two.

Don稚 know about skids.

They have crates of ztr痴 stacked four or five high, just unloaded

Well, I did an online search for Daedong, and ended up on their Korean web page, but there was no indication that they manufacture either skid steers or excavators of any size.

All I can surmise I say that there may be some product trading going on, ie if Doosan does in fact produce some engines for larger Kioti tractors, and Daedong is once again entertaining a supplier arrangement to provide tractors to Doosan to be marketed under the Bobcat moniker, it would make sense that Doosan / Bobcat may extend the arrangement to provide product so Kioti dealers could competively market skid steers and excavators.

Kioti is a relatively small company worldwide. I read that their engine manufacturing capacity is only 50-60000 units.

That痴 tiny as far as Diesel engine capacity is concerned.

Selling mini excavators and skid steers can only help strengthen the Kioti dealer network.

I don't know about them. TYM does manufacture smaller excavators, but so far they are not being imported into North America.

Doosan is the parent company and so it is possible to get wheel loaders, excavators, but not skidloaders since Doosan doesn't make those. Doosan is selling under the Doosan name here in Minnesota.

A desirable feature Kubota has is the 6-way blade. I don't know ANY others that have a 6-way. Most I think are just up/down. Thanks for the info on Doosan, I didn't know they are Kioti parent company.

Most of the mini excavators are equipped with an additional hydraulic circuit as standard feature. A 6 way blade is aftermarket and not brand specific. Put the blade on, hook up the hoses and there is your 6 way blade on any mini excavator.
Most of those circuits are used to run the thumb.

Some Kubota models come with a factory 6 way blade. No add on valving or piping.

I’d like to see a mini ex with two extra circuits available at the blade mount area. Not referring to an aux circuit piped along the boom and dipper.

You won't find that on a mini. You'll have a hard time to find that in the 25 ton class and up. It's not impossible to install but I would say fairly rare.

Daedong is the parent company of KIOTI Tractor.
Daedong (KIOTI) uses a Doosan engine in the PX Series Tractors only. CK, DK, NX, RX, Mechron, K9 engines are Daedong.
Doosan has an agreement with Daedong on compact tractors. Daedong will supply Doosan with certain model compact tractors to be labeled and sold as Bobcat (again). Those re-labeled tractors will have Daedong Engines.

That would seem to be a good opportunity for Daedong. Bobcat has about 1,000 dealers worldwide so there is a potential for some significant volume there.

Interestingly, one of Daedong's businesses is manufacturing golf carts. That seems like a strange thing for a tractor manufacturer to be involved in, but then TYM also does flatware and publishing along with their equipment business.

The Kioti skid steer / track loaders should be trickling out soon . Excavators I have not heard of .
Just wonder if the Kioti skid / track loaders are Bobcat's painted orange .

Loader arms don’t look like Bobcat. Seems to me it would be a really tough market to get into unless they have something really revolutionary or a really attractive price point…or both.

Wonder if all their tractors dealers will sell and service them? Their dealer network in my area is marginal at best. The very same thing steered me away from Kubota a few years ago when I was buying a mini-ex and CTL. My nearest construction equipment dealer that sells Kubota only handles tractors, mini-ex’s, and wheeled loadees…no CTL’s or skid steers??? Another dealer over an hour away handles Kubota tractors and skid steers, no CTL’s or mini-ex’s? Don’t understand. I would have had to travel over 3 hours to get to a dealer that handles their CTL’s. Ended up going Bobcat and never looked back.

My point is since Kioti has a limited dealer network, they better make this equipment readily available If they hope to penetrate the market. It’s not enough to build a good machine. They need a good dealer network with good service, support, spare and service parts, etc.

Wheeled and tracked loaders were introduced last fall. Don't have an exact date as to when available to sell and who (dealers) will be selling them. Not all Kioti dealers will have them available. I believe it is a Hyundai relationship.

Only three pics I have found on web . Not mine been awaiting , for them to start tricklein in and around . My initial thoughts were they might be Bobcats painted orange . Competition good among brands . Especially with close by dealer support .

According to this guy, they are Kioti designed and built and wont be here until 'sometime in 2022'.
