How do you accurately find your property line to post signs and paint trees

Ya but paint in no way means "no trespassing". Put the signs in a tree ~10 feet off the ground...where they are still in clear view but can't be ripped down. That coupled with wireless cameras works well for us.
In a lot of states purple is the same as no trespassing signs.

It would be interesting to know the length of the OP's line. In conjunction with some of the techniques mentioned above, if the corners can be posted on a photo you can use natural boundaries and/or roads to adjust along the length of the line. We sometimes will have a surveyor put control points with his GPS every 1/4 mile or so along a line... even if they are adjusted later we can use the offsets to run a straight line.

You might want to check out your state laws. NC states this:

I've watched folks come right thru my outer gate on my driveway. It has a large No Trespassing sign - right in the middle of the gate.

And then my neighbor blames me for leaving the gate open and his cattle get out on the county road.

I have, long ago, lost any faith I ever had in humans. They will do what they damn well please - and then ***** about the consequences.

I was looking to see if Georgia has the purple paint law, it seems it doesn’t but not sure. We do have this new one though:

HB693 - This bill prohibits the operation of farm tractors on interstate highways.

You're mistaken.
I actually dug into this article and looked around a bit more. I cannot find the Colorado statue that says purple paint is the same as a no trespassing sign. I see it in other states but not in CO. So if you find the statue please post it, otherwise your quick google search doesn’t seem to provide any proof. It’s just an article by someone that says something about purple paint in “some states” but fails to provide a direct link to the actual law.

For now I stand by my statement.

Here is a typical view of what the vegetation looks like. I guess a picture better explains why string isn't working

Here is the General area

This is dense pine, maple and white oak. There is heavy mountains laurels that are thick. Lots of deer but the laurels are poisonous so they grow dense enough that you cannot walk in a straight line or see 40' away.
