I wish someone would make an adapter for gooseneck trailers. A cordless, low speed 1/2” electricians drill would be perfect for raising/lowering my trailer. One of these days I’ll get around to it.

If you already have a suitable drill making an adapter is pretty easy. Without access to a metal lathe I’d find a socket that fits over the crank handle and drill it sideways so it can be pinned on the shaft. Then weld an extension in the socket and cut the ratchet end off so it fits in a drill. Or if you have access to a metal lathe it’s a pretty easy job to make an adapter.

This is what I rigged up back before cordless. The horse trailer was parked by the shop, so power was available.

It is one that I made, connected the same way the chuck was connected.

The two speed right angle adapter came with the drill. I removed the chuck and used the bolt to fasten my adapter.
