Regarding snow; scraped 44" off the driveway yesterday (Tuesday) and another 4" today. I expect at least 4" tomorrow morning. So far since January 1, 2021 I have used 38 gallons of fuel in the tractor mostly plowing snow.
It takes about an hour to plow this place when there is only 4 inches or so and another 1/2 hour to plow the two others I do. Lost one customer, he sold his place and the guy that bought it has a 4 wheeler with a blade on it. I imagine IF we get a big dump of wet stuff he will be hollering at me to plow him out. I will, it is all seat time.

Haven’t been posting much lately, not a whole heck of a lot going on in my life .

About as ready as possible for the 1st real snow. Put the plow on the BX last weekend, greased and checked the snowblower so it’s ready to mount. Pulled the walk behind blower out of the back corner of the shed, greased and fueled it up. 18 yr old Ariens 32” with a 13hp Tecumseh snow king, still starts on the first pull.

Wife got her booster shot last week, I finally got an appointment for this Sunday.

20° right now...high in the upper 20's today.

Looks like we got about 2" of snow late yesterday into last night...that's enough to clear so I've got the tractor plugged in for about an hour.
Stepdaughter got the Christmas tree up last night. It's an artificial tree. Guess the one I bought will be going back to Amazon

Thinking about it, I'll wait until daylight to do the drive and walks. Normally, I prefer to do this work before dawn, but Margeaux barks at anything coming up the drive...just as soon not wake my wife and stepdaughter up this early.
Wish I'd thought of this last night, wouldn't have gotten up at 0315

Waiting for first cup of coffee to cool a little. 21° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 37° with cloudy skies and a chance of snow or rain. Spent time at on meters. Went to get trash can from out front. Wheel axle was pulled out of its snap in mounting. Got it back to shop. Made a bracket to pull axle into place. It worked. Left bracket in place. Trash collection seem to go out of it's way to make me buy one of their cans. If they break on of theirs they will replace iot for free. Last time I watched them handle trash cans they had hydraulics wide open slamming trash cans into and out of truck. Maybe I need to call township again.
Take Sassy in for grooming today. Will do some grocery shopping while she is there.
Found that I have more than one red breasted woodpecker at feeders. Only one is allowed at suet cakes at a time. Blue Jays still have to wait their turn.

Good morning, low temp is -3°F and the high is forecast to be 18. Wind ESE 3 mph. Sunny!

Block heater for tractor is on and I will be warming it up at 9 A.M. to plow another 3" of fluffy white snow.

Ron, be thankful that you have garbage/trash collection at all. Our cans might last longer but we have to go take it to the dump our selves. We compost all the veggie waste, burn the burnables and anything with my name on, the dump gets the meat waste that the 5 cats and one dog won't eat.

The two new kittens that I got last winter at 4 weeks old are now 15 and 13 pounds each, one year later. They both go outside, but as soon as I fire up the tractor they are back inside the house lickety split. They DO NOT like the sound of the straight piped tractor.

I had a fantastic nights sleep last night. Went to bed about 10:30 and got up at 04:50 this morning. No up in the middle of the night for a 'P'. Yes I checked the bed to make sure I didn't P in the night anyway.

25 going to 44...today's high will be less than Monday's low. Just enough sprinkles and a few flakes to make the tin roof on the shed look damp yesterday.

Hope Buppies and Toppop are better today. Prayers said.

Don, glad you'll be able to get that knee fixed soon.

We went searching for our CHRISTmas tree yesterday but only found a few Charlie Browns. I told my wife I could cut 3, zip tie them together, squeeze them into the tree stand and it would work great. I got THAT look in return. We did cut some holly, pine, hemlock, and pick up some cones for decorating. Not sure what we'll do for the tree...there is one back up tree to go check out.

Good morning! 63˚F South wind, heading to 80. If there is enough sunshine I think I go to the pool today and get some vitamin D even though I have a lot to do to get everything ready to go on automatic for a few weeks. I will be thinking of the ones plowing snow.
