Bad news big repair

I made an honest effort to read all the posts but ran out of steam at maybe page 12 or 15 or so.

ANY way, why not just power the glow plugs separately as others have suggested.

You could install a diode in the original wiring that would likely not affect the function of the original control, but WOULD prevent a back feed into the original circuit. Proper sized diode of course.

This might have already been suggested...thread too long and I ran out of energy reading the reply's.

MY bad I know...

Solution 1 has been offered about 25 times. Solution 2 has been offered several times as well.
For whatever reasons the OP hasn't received either well.
Can you show me where I didn’t receive the repair suggestions well?
Obviously, it’s an option. One that crossed my mind a year ago.

Maybe your attention span doesn’t allow you to understand my preferential repair is to get the factory system working FIRST.

Do you have a problem with that? Do you have a problem with me asking the more patient, more helpful people in this thread provide possible solutions on how to repair what’s there to original factory condition BEFORE I “wire a switch”?

Deal with it…..

Unsubstantiated and undocumented fears of an engine derate.
Fear of an electrical fire cause by installation of an alternative glow plug control circuit.
Thats 2 and all the time I'm going to waste on you right now. My BS tolerance is low today.
BTW, if you can't run a couple wires and a switch without burning your tractor to the ground you might want to have someone else handle the troubleshooting and repair.

I'm still stuck on a $6000 ECU... that's just predatory. Can they test your ECU to see if it's the problem?
I don’t think so, but it depends on the knowledge of other people.
Id like to know, because the tractor will retain more of its value in original condition

Please, don’t waste any more of your precious time in this thread. I would appreciate that!
Its like if I don’t fix it YOUR WAY you cry and project on me that I don’t accept your solution

Hook up a 110v oil heater goes down the oil dipstick might work.
I typically keep the tractor in a field, electrical access is pretty limited.

Sucks when you get a straight answer to a direct question I guess.

Its quite easy to “wire up a switch”. I’d like to eliminate any/all other reasons that the factory system doesnt work.
I know it’s hard for you to grasp, but it’s ok, I’m patient and will try to remind you repeatedly that wiring up a switch is my last resort, repairing the existing system is the goal.

Well you certainly explained how you've seen " hundreds of tractors" burnt by added wiring. I just naturally figured that was firsthand knowledge if you know what I mean. I'd think after 19 pages you'd figure out the answers you want aren't here.
Sad that you think the workaround is "my repair". About 20 guys have suggested it.
