Yes, was it the series 53 or 57 block had the weaker casting? And then the alignment pin issue in the water pump, but all in all the 12v was a good quality all mechanical motor.

They were good at spitting cams out the back of the block, taking out timing covers and don’t last as long as some other engines available of the same size.

I skidded out some logs the other day,

Anyway, I loaded one on the mill today, and "POW" first time EVER I broke a band!

Yup, that's the first one since the 90's when I bought my first BSM! I noticed the other day it was kinda wonky, but I kept using it until it died! lol

Anyway, my wife wanted some boards, so I got started milling some out for her,

and soon I had the lumber she wanted,

I'll leave this slab wood out in the sun for a while,

then, I'll move it to my shop, to be turned into "heat"!

Any indication how your blade broke?
I broke one a while back (actually 2) and I was told it was rare.
Both of mine cracked across the width.
Just curious.

Just had a closer look at your blade and it broke across the width which I guess is the only
way it will break, but still wondering something happened in particular.

Fair enough. I thought maybe something moved on you that shouldn't or something like that.

Well, it's Christmas, so "Merry Christmas" to you all. Anyway, today I have some "wood" without tractors. lol

I have a "going on 3 yr. old" grandson that's CRAZY about trucks and cars, and I'm NOT going to buy him china made toys! So, I make him toys out of wood.

In this case, I'm just about to finish up a new truck for him, it's 17 inches long and needs just a little work and some glue,

Looks like I better get my butt in gear too! lol

Some fun from almost 10 years ago a little bit of stair action in a maple as well as a cedar also a spring board in the low side of that same cedar to get the double. A little jack work on a cutting line to keep them out of the younger fir.
