I thought of upgrading my headlights but since any after dark work will probably be with the FEL I opted for an LED light bar on the ROPS instead. Kubota used some oddball bulbs in some of their headlights - shop carefully.

Put LED's in both of mine plus high mount LED lamps from Superbrightleds.com in place of the weak sealed beam pods at the top of the cab, front and rear as well as the flasher lamps and running lamps. Both mine take a special base LED bulb similar to a motorcycle bulb. Found them on Fleay bay. The bases have a flange with a cutout in it and they twist lock into the fixture base. Do quite a bit of after sunset road driving during the summer as some of my fields aren't contiguous to the farm. You need to pull a bulb and check the base and then go search the net for them. Like I said, mine are an oddball base.

I don't run with my bucket on, I always remove it. Only take a second as it's SSQA. If you change the warning flasher lamps to LED, you either have to replace the flasher unit with an electronic one or add a resistor to the flasher circuit as the LED lamps don't pull enough juice to activate a mechanical flasher unit.

+1
I find my headlights useless, they only come on when my pants get caught on the light switch when I get off the tractor. I keep my magnetic ones mounted on the rops, I can point them both directions if I'm backing up, and use them as searchlights when I'm out trying to find the horses.

Dont have a rops like you guys do. My ROPS is integrated into the cab structure. My roof is vacuum molded HDPE.

They make suction cup mounts for LED lights, might even be possible to mount it inside the cab so the light is right against the glass if the reflections aren't too bad on the window. Tractors are all heading in the direction of less metal and more plastic, some don't even have metal hoods anymore. Someone needs to invent a plastic magnet.

I mounted a small LED light bar (12 LEDs, center 4 are spots and outer 4's flood) up under my cabs front overhang.
WOW, day and night or should I say night is day.
At the rear I have 2 LED 4" floods mounted on strong magnets so I can move them around for best effect. Comes in handy for when I am snow blowing at night.
Inside my cab I mounted an 12" LED strip to replace my crappy dome light, wow, I can read fine print.
Even my strobe is LED (a DIY project) and works great.
I used the dome from a scrapped strobe to house the LEDs and concocted a very workable unit.
Even my turn indicators are now LED, actually a modified LED strip.
You can't miss me when/if I'm plowing/blowing at night! (in my heated DIY cab listening to the radio)

For sure LEDs are the way to go, especially on a tractor that shakes, rattles in all types of weather AND draws so little current.
